Introducing Rain Delay!
Done in the spirit of traditional manga (well some of them), where the back of the book would have a couple non-canon gags often making fun of the work itself in the form of 4koma comics (see above). I've got tons of these planned. Although I'm saving them primarily for worst case scenarios where I fear I may be late on a page (hence the name), or best case scenarios where I publish a graphic novel someday, I thought I'd show off some silliness as long as we're between chapters anyway.
Anyway, sometimes these will be deleted scenes (removed for pacing or whatever) or sometimes they'll be alternate versions of existing scenes and yet other times, they'll be just me poking fun at my own work... like bloopers. Yes, comic bloopers. Anyway, the point is, just remember that whatever happens in Rain Delay is non-canon. I'm not saying it can't offer insight on the characters or anything, but the real purpose of these is just to be silly fun. ^_^
And yes, it IS labeled "Rain Delay 2". I actually posted the first one between Chapters 1 and 2 on DeviantArt, but looking back, I'm not really sure why the exclusivity. So, since I was posting this page in all of my normal posting locations anyway, I'll just have an extra treat for the rest of you tomorrow night as well... or you can go to DA. Whichever floats your boat.
Most of you probably remember when Fara whopped Mrs. Parker upside the head with her student’s homework. You have to imagine it’s all bent out of shape or crooked and junk after that. Fara doesn’t like to take chances though, especially with everyone else’s homework still looking so pristine by comparison now, so she just aces the boy and hopes he doesn't tell anyone else. ^_^;
How many of you actually remember the victim here though, Rand M. Guy (AKA, Randy)? Hint, he’s only had two brief appearances so far and not a word of dialogue. He’ll continue to be a largely insignificant character, but do keep a lookout for his cameos in the future. ^_^
An obvious follow-up to “Easy A”. Mrs. Parker has developed an irrational(?) fear to Fara. Ironically, it’s a new day and Fara is plenty willing to move on and get along with her coworker.
Brother Arthur makes his first appearance in like 40 pages. I admit I haven’t introduced many other teachers so my options were limited so far, but I knew I wanted to remind readers that I haven’t forgotten about him, so he seemed like a good pick here. Besides, he seems so charming… unlike Father Quenton who’s about as approachable as a live grenade…
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.
