Really intense page. I don’t envy the choice Gavin has to make. Mind you, as the writer, I kinda had to make that choice for him. For the record, I actually had to script it in BOTH directions a few pages just to see which way I liked things better. It wasn’t easy, but I’m satisfied with my choice…
…I mean, Gavin’s choice.
But seriously, if you were in Gavin’s shoes, how would you approach Rain?
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.
Well, I'm a really forgiving person. I wouldn't be angry at Rain. I'd be more curiously hurt. Like, "Why couldn't she tell me...?"
Being a early transitioning trans woman too, it is super hard to tell anyone about being transgender.
If I were in Gavin's shoes... I'd probably do something like I did when one of friends from fifth grade, who I hadn't seen since, ended up in my high school class, now as a dude and going by a different name. Once I made made the mistake of calling him by what he's gone by as a girl, and he corrected me. Then we didn't talk about it, and I acted like he'd always been a dude.
Gavin's an idiot but at least he's trying
For me, it'd probably go something like, "Well, didn't see that one coming." Then, after an awkward pause, "You still play PSO?"
