Disturbing page is disturbing… and kinda funny. But I’m only laughing because I have the same complex.
Speaking from personal experience, my worst critic for how I look is myself. Even if one does a PERFECT job of shaving and/or applying makeup, if you stare at the mirror long enough, you’ll find something is awry. Nevermind that you couldn’t see it until your face was literally pressed against the mirror. Nevermind that your extremely trustworthy friend/significant other says that they don’t see a thing. Nevermind that it’s very likely all in your head. It’s there. And you simply can’t leave it! This is a maddening feeling.
On the other hand, sometimes you really DO screw up (nobody’s perfect). Even Rain screwed up. But only slightly. And she WAS caught, but thankfully still not actually read. But for Rain, or any transsexual trying like hell to pass, her imagination is getting the best of her and she sees the worst of it.
:sigh: It’s so damn complicated sometimes.
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.
i cant decide which one of my critics are worse "me, myself or i"?
bearded rain is rotflol
I was almost picturing something just like this.
If you ever need a filler, Rain with an even bigger beard would be hilarious.
lol, she looks cute with the beard
Guilty as charged :P I'm glad to say I don't have it *quite* that bad, but on Friday (which is my electro day, meaning I'm not allowed to shave after Wednesday and till Saturday) I felt shit about leaving the flat cos I was convinced the foundation wasn't even slightly hiding my shadow (I usually find that even with 2 days growth I can hide it well enough that it's not noticeable from outside a reasonable "personal space" perimiter)
This page describes being trans at nearly every stage. Some of us have it worse than others, too. Try needing a shave every three hours. 8( Fair skin + dark hairs = Trans*mitting! Also, kissing and hugging with any facial contact means a guaranteed Trans*mission.
BTW - love your comic! Being able to relate makes it sweeter, but the art and writing are better than I ever expected and, to me, on par with EGS without the magic business (which is kinda corny). Here's to your continued success!
THE EYE SHE ACTUALLY HAS TWO EYES
I gotta say... The beard, while it doesn't look particularly good, doesn't look half bad on Rain. XD
Okay, bearded Rain is adorable.
