This is also based (loosely) on actual events. About six years ago, before coming out to my friends, I went as a “girl” for Halloween (to test the waters and see how accepting they’d be). Apparently, I passed so well, that a friend of mine didn’t even recognize me and proceeded to flirt unknowingly. Though I was certainly flattered and pleased to know I passed so well, I felt obligated to kind of point out who I was to him. I probably COULD have played along for a little while, but was afraid that might turn sour later if I did.
To this day, that remains one of my more interesting trans experiences…
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.
Interesting personal story about Halloween. I never had such an experience.
i had a similar experience, though due to what i was wearing (stuff like a collar and cuffs, a vinyl jacket, etc.) i got told i looked like a girl that could beat others up. Still passed, since they didn't know it was me.
I like the change of the flower at panel 6!
This page made my lol HARD!
I've reread this page so many times and even now I can't stop laughing at it XD
@LittleLynn84: The last panel is the best. It's funny to see Rudy in a kick the dog moment.
It looks like Drew is being forced to wear the mask of homosexuality by his peers. This is similar to Rain's situation of being forced to wear the mask of male gender by her brother and sister.
I feel bad for Drew. I mean, I didn't think his costume looked gay at all. I mean, how could a costume look gay anyway? Then again, I've said it before, if I had a gaydar, it'd be no more useful than an abstract paperweight.
@Zhe: It's the open shirt showing clean hairless chest. The bright red bandana doesn't help much either. Dude should've worn a hat.
I love Ruby's look of "hmm, this is interesting.." in panel 2 :)
I was right it was awesome!!
