Rudy is put in one hell of a pickle here. The LAST thing he’d want to do is persuade someone to deny their true feelings. Mind you, he doesn’t know Drew that well and realistically can’t be sure whether or not he really is gay. But he doesn’t want to take the risk of actually trying to talk him out of being gay if he really is. It would, after all, go against everything Rudy stands for.
But what can he really do? His new “straight guy” role is still new and delicate, and most other courses of action have too much risk (not just for him, but also for Rain).

Hmm. Well technically, Ky is female. So if Drew was picking up on that, then he may be straight. Or maybe he is gay and effeminate men are his type. Or he could be bi, like moi, and then it doesn't really matter what's going on downstairs, as long as he's attracted to them and enjoys their company. But really, I think option D is the best: Quit wasting time trying to label yourself and snatch them up before someone else does.
We still are not completely sure how Ky exactly identifies. We don't know if Ky is a trans man for sure yet. However, this comic does point out to how people's feelings for trans people could be a confusing thought for people on how they view and identify them. Maybe Rudy is realizing that he sees Rain more as a guy than a girl.
...He could just go with bi and see where it takes him...
Poor, poor Drew :(
