You all knew someone from the school would be there, but who really expected HIM?

Also, this page sort of addresses a bit of a pet peeve of mine; notably, in panels 2 and 3. Video games haven’t been a “boy’s only” hobby… um, ever. Yes, the average video game player is male, but not all of them. So, possibly because I AM a girl gamer, it rubs me the wrong way when guys act like it NEVER happens. Like, “Oh you’re a girl? You’d probably be bored by this then.” Believe it or not, I’ve even had people ask if I’d stop gaming after I transitioned! I guess, because girls don’t do that, so if I’m a girl, I have to stop. Sometimes, I just don’t know. -_-

And yeah, the Yuu Us. Comes out in a couple days, you know. It’s December in Rain continuity though, so it’s already been out for a month there. That said, if the original Yuu’s launch was any indication, I doubt Yuu Us’ really THIS so accessible three days before Christmas. ;P

Hmm... I'm a girl gamer, have been since Super Mario days. But I gotta say, I've always agreed with the masses that more boys game than girls. It's never upset me when people say that, just makes me feel special. I'm one of the few.

Rand M. Guy from their school works at GameSnob.

That's freaking hilarious!

Also, holla at my fellow gamer girls.

I am a gamer girl, but I do not play video games. My games all run on dice, paper, junk food, and soda. (actually have an even gender split in the group currently). I tried video games when I was little, but I did not have the attention span for them.

I am most definitely a girl gamer, I prefer rpg games to platformers(get bored of these easily) or first person shooters(its very rare to find an interesting fps so I've only played about 2 of these my favourite being Dirge of cereberus). My mum and all my sisters are also gamers, in fact the only non gamer in my family is my dad so when i hear people say that girls don't game i just laugh.

Love the comic so far keep up the good work :)

edit: what really annoys me is when some girls claim they are gamers when the only games they have ever played are Wii fit or nintendogs, it gives the actual girl gamers a bad name so we are never taken seriously.

@Guest: I've known too many girls that play JRPGs like Final Fantasy 11 to think ladies like you don't exist. My sister's played more Metroid than I have...

@Guest: Right? I mean, I'll settle for a good platformer every now and then, but my favorite pastime is playing World of Tanks with my boyfriend. Girl Gamers exist! :D

@LittleLynn84: Blame the great video game crash of '83. When companies decided to relaunch the market, consoles were moved from the Electronics aisle to the toy aisle. And because you had to pick a side, boy or girl, they went with "boy".

Yet another reason why de-gendering the toy aisles is a good move. A pity it wasn't done a LOT sooner...
