This is a weird page. First off, there’re a lot of panels in this one. And only three of them actually contain dialogue. Instead, we get an unusual amount of visual cues from facial expressions, and two shots of the TV for the game. (Funtendo Park, by the way. It comes free with the Yuu Us.)
I really like this page though, because Rain does something rather bold. I’ve built her up for nearly 300 pages now to be an incredibly shy and non-confrontational person. So of course, she’s not going to be able to come up the right words on the spot, no matter how upset she is by what she’s seeing. It’s just not in her to do that. It’s not to say she can’t get mad though. One could argue (and many of you have) that Aiken’s feelings are at least somewhat justifiable. And I believe that too. But his insistence of having only a male avatar made for her on her own game is indeed something of a passive-aggressive attack. To which Rain passive-aggressively retaliates.
So, let’s take focus off Aiken for a moment and look to Rain. Should she have just played along to placate him, as this is sure to open a can of worms? Or do you believe Rain has done the right thing here, because he has to see how serious she is about this? I would love to hear your thoughts. ^_^

I love this page! :D Go Rain!
I honestly believe she did the right thing I go through the same thing with my older sister. She gives me things that say love u little sis and never can correct her because she always wins our agruements. Like Rain I try to not show how upset i am and try noncomfortational ways to prove my piont. Little by little she will gain confidence to tell him straight up even if she has to fight for it. I love your art it gices me hope and joy to see such topic discussed and not have a character is 'pretending' to be the opposite gender because of some stupid reason like trying to get a boy
I think it's better to be firm with these things. It may be harder in the short term, but to be honest the more ground you give to stubborn family members, the more they try to take and the worse you end up feeling.
I think it was right of Rain to make the avatar how she wanted. I know Aiken is not used to this and uncomfortable, but Rain is doing her best to be herself, so he could at least appreciate that she told him the truth.
Aunt Fara warned him of the avatar thing anyway;he dug his own grave here.
She did the right thing. She needed to do that to show Aiken that that is who she really is and she is going to stay that way.
This page was funny.
You go, Rain! I think it was good that she's standing up for herself!
She's already come out to Aiken and is dressed the way she wants in front of him, so why back down with the game? No point in giving him false hope. Rain's a girl and he's just gonna have to deal with it.
Since I'm a bit of a jerk sometimes, I would have asked where's our new brother. ^_^
Then try to invoke cuteness and stare at him.
Then make my own avatar, showing that I'm not even acknowledging that the other one is for me.
And then when I play, be as girlish as possible to rub it in and cream him! >_<
Then again, I'm not Rain so...
But still, I rub stuff in. Heck, I might make up fake memories to share. Then feign ignorance on anything on Ryan. Like Aw... You wish we had a baby brother...
Yea Rain did the right thing there ... Although I tend towards non-confrontational myself I still would have gone and started up a new Avatar infront of Aiken.
@LittleLynn84: Hooray for Rain! She absolutely did the right thing here. There's no need to start an argument over this. If he wanted to create a male avatar, fair enough, but she's not obligated to play it. Maybe Aiken (who seems to be somewhat intelligent and actually *does* seem to care, despite his own personal hangups over this) will take the hint and open a *civil* dialog in which he actually listens.... or maybe he'll just sulk. Either way, Rain can enjoy her new game without concerning herself with it. :)
You know I prefer creating my own avatar instead of letting someone create it for me and also I prefer my avatar to not look like me
@LittleLynn84: I think rain was right to do what she did and I am proud of her for showing some backbone to Aiken. But seriously do u know where I could get that dress
whats the bipping?
