I know, I know. This page is decidedly lacking in Fara vs. Aiken. We’ll get to it. I promise.

And yep. Even Emily gets her own segment in this chapter. I both really like and dislike this week’s arc. I mean, Emily’s development here is more crucial than you’d probably think, and there was just a lot that needed to be said about her… and proper timing required it to be in this chapter. But at the same time, this little arc feels very disjointed from the rest of the chapter. So, I apologize for not coming up with a smoother way to fit this in.

Second, i feel bad for Emily. What kind of job does her mom have that keeps her away from home all the time? And it seems like Emily has no one to be with on Christmas. what happened to her dad? is all of this going to be explained later? if so, I should stop asking questions XD
Love this comic, keep up the great work ^u^

@Jeana Star:

Her mom's job... I actually don't know. I've heard of this sort of thing before, but I actually don't know what sort of job that is in reality. I figure she's perhaps an important business rep trying to gain clients overseas (or something along those lines).

And thank you very much~! I'm glad you're enjoying the comic thus far. :D

Technically, it's new information. Although she has been shown with glasses once before very long ago (not wearing them, but HAVING them).

I cant help but feel bad for Emily. When she was first introduced I thought she'd be one of those "Who are you to take the attention off of me?!" characters. Now after seeing everything unfold, i feel like she's just doing her best at...whatever she can.
; ; show her some love please!?

XD but I wouldn't mind seeing the Fara smackdown~ just sayin'

@LittleLynn84: Sorry to be a noob btw, but do you have an RSS feed and if so where is it? It's not mentioned in the FAQ and it's not where a question in the SJ forums says it would be by default

The way she said it, I'm guessing the weight gain may be pregnancy related. So much for that perfect year.

@Allie:

At the risk of "outnoobing" you, I don't even really know what an RSS Feed is. I know I've heard OF it, but I don't actually know what it is, where it would be, if I have one, or - if I don't - why I should have one.

That aside, I'll look into it and see what I can find.

@LittleLynn84: Haha fair enough... If its any consolation I only discovered RSS fairly recently too :P it basically means people can subscribe to the comic and get updates delivered to a central page that all the other feeds they're subscribed to appear on too, rather than having to check all their webcomics (for example) individually. Its a lazy persons dream. The concept is basically like the portals some forums have, but for the internet as a whole, but you need a specific URL to subscribe that's usually a link somewhere on the home page. If you're interested yourself, I personally use Google Reader

RSS feeds are just links that automatically update to show new content (if they're designed that way- the old way is for the poster to update it themself). For example, in firefox, there's always a default BBC RSS feed in the bookmarks toolbar. By clicking it, it'll refresh to show you a list of article titles in order of their post. By clicking that it just takes you straight to the article. Lots of comics do this so people can check updates without them actually having to visit the site first.
