Okay, so this is the REAL last page of the chapter. I just wanted to make sure Kellen was addressed before moving on (more for the sake of her whereabouts than anything), since she was absent throughout this entire chapter. But for how little resolution we actually get, there are some interesting things to learn here (mostly within the first two panels).

The fourth panel was a last minute change too. Originally, I was considering dragging things out with Rain’s family – essentially having Rain face her sister in a different chapter later on. But besides feeling redundant, it just didn’t feel possible for Kellen to NOT find out sooner or later at this point. Plus, I feel like it would be pretty foolish for Rain to repeat the same course of events that clearly didn’t work for her once.

So, opinion time: Based on what we know about Kellen, how do we think she’ll react to this?

In the fourth panel, you put "let's this over with" instead of "let's get this over with."
Kellen might get mad at first because she wasn't told anything at the start. Then she'd probably cool down.

You know this webcomic needs huge female jerks to balance the huge male jerks like Rain's Father like adding a female jerk that has the same jerk level as Rain's Father

As for Rain's Sister its unknown if she were going to act like a jerk or not

Well, so far there's been confused but accepting (Gavin), blithely accepting if clueless (Rudy), accepting (Fara and Maria), judgmental nonacceptance (Aiken). Seems like she'd be confused nonacceptance, of the sort along the lines of "Was it because there were no positive male figures? is it somehow my fault?" etc.

Of course, this sort of nonacceptance isn't the permanent sort either, just massive confusion about having 'the norm' fractured.

I think Kellen may be a bit more understanding but will take time to get use to it.

I think that Kellen will be more on the confused end- and slowly accepting. Kind of like "well, youre a girl now so do you wanna *activity* with me? Or...not?" and such.

However, still loving Rains courage right now!

Well in the prologue she was the ignorant-but-sympathetic type whereas Aiken was... well... worse. That gives me hope that she'll be open to new concepts if she gives Fara chance to articulate them. On the other hand, I seem to remember she ranted to Fara one time about always being left out of things, always being the last one to know stuff, etc...

I think maybe she'll be a bit pissed off initially about the fact that she didn't already know, but give her a couple of hours, maybe a day, and she'll want to accommodate the change, although it might take her awhile to unlearn cissexist assumptions and learn how to be an ally

@LittleLynn84: I love this story so far. I unfortunately don't know enough about Kellen to provide conjecture at this point.

Oh, and by the way, I *love the new pic. Absolutely adorable. :)

This might be a long shot, but Kellen's vagueness on where she is and the fact that the unnecessary sentence "She invited me" is in there makes me think that Kellen may be with a girlfriend. Can't recall, do we know anything about Kellen's life?

I honestly have no idea what kellen is going to say but i think she will be more accepting than Aiken. at least i hope she is as that would be awful having both siblings against you.

Love the new profile picture by the way.

Phew. That was all super uncomfortable. Why couldn't Fara have been like that before inviting Aiken?
