Little art notes: the thing in Maria’s hand is her obnoxiously blue phone. Nobody wears watches these days; they just check their phones. And I don’t know why I never notice these things when I’m drawing them, but Kylie really should be a little taller. He’s short, but should still probably be higher above Chanel’s head.
Beyond that, pretty simple page as we see the characters bantering about what it is they’re going to do all night. After all, we’re looking at a pretty diverse group of teenagers here. Entertaining EVERYONE won’t be as easy setting a third of the group to play an 8-bit game. How do we entertain them all? Incidentally, most of the parties I was part of in my teenage years DID revolve around video games (with one or two people playing, and everyone else watching). That won’t be the direction we go here though, because I didn’t feel it’d make for an interesting chapter. After all, it’s more important that I entertain you the readers, than the characters themselves. XD
So what kind of wanton destruction entertaining things do you folks do at parties?
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.
Rain is now on Facebook! Like the Page, and share the love~!
We end up watching movies while stuffing our faces with fatty foods or playing Risk and plotting against each other when I throw parties. Truth or Dare is also fun when you get the right group together :)
My parties however arent that interesting xDD
Love Chanel cuddling the bunny <3 Thats what I would do!
i wear a watch :(
I stand corrected. You should be proud. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw someone wear a watch. XD
I also wear a watch, pretty much all the time, a fact well-known enough for people to give me watches as gifts and always expect me to know the time. It's more rare to find me without a watch.
As for Ky's height, maybe Chanel is just closer to the 'camera'?
Yes, another watch comment - but I'm a teenager, who wears a watch in the pool (as well as all the other times). But then, I still prefer print to ebooks etc., and have only gotten a properly working phone recently.
Parties. Well, when I have a party with my close friends, there is always lots of cookies and food and then at some point we all end up playing this one hilarious card game called cards against humanity. It's played like apples to apples, except it is horrible and wrong and so so so funny. It's actually online here: http://cardsagainsthumanity.com/
And also at some point, everyone will have had enough food that we all just sit around in out little food comas and find some movie to watch while we're all piled on top of each other in a giant cuddle puddle.
...whose giggling at Chanel taking Rudy's "wanton destruction" comment seriously and scuttling back behind Ky?
Firstly, I wear a watch (I'm 14 here and never check my phone)
Second, we play the gfpa game which is when everyone gets in a circle and the first person says a word then the next says the first word that pops into their head and so on.
It usually gets really dirty and that's why it's an acronym for gay furry p*nis a$$hole game.
When my friends and I have parties, we usually wind up watching a Disney or Pixar movie. We're like that. Except when it's at my house or a specific two others, it's expected to watch a Ghibli movie or a very famous non-series-related anime movie (No iff ands butts).
Also expect the wii to be busted out. We love looking silly playing games. We aren't ones for plans really... xD
I used to wear a watch every day, but since I use the computer a lot I wind up taking it off too much; when I go out somewhere nice I wear a thin silver one since I don't want to be rude by looking at my phone.
Most of the parties I went to as a teenager revolved around video games as well, but competitive games/modes (or Guitar Hero, which isn't *really* a competitive game) where a game would ideally last 10-15 minutes and then new players would take over. It also helped that the social part of my teenage years (since I literally had no friends in secondary school, only met people I could get on well enough with to want to spend my spare time with after starting college) coincided with the Xbox reaching an affordable price, so that meant we could have 4 players at a time
Also, I wear a watch :)
But yeah, watching other people play a coop/single-player campaign for hours on end is frustrating. That happened occasionally too
In High School we ordered Chinese delivery and played Axis & Allies. Course, most of my friends had cats, which would always mess up the game. And cats want Chinese food....or pizza..or chips...
Stupid cat, sitting on Europe!
My high school friends were dorks, so we played make-believe outside at parties. No joke.
EDIT: HOLY SUDDEN REALIZATIONS BATMAN
I'm probably the last person to pick up on this, but Rain's name is Rain, so her pet's name is Puddle! BOOM!
@Haldo: You are not the last! I AM THE LAST since you informed me of this MAGIC!
Whenever ome watch gets too old and stops working (or I got it wet when it wasn't waterproof) I totally freak out until I get a new one. I don't even have a phone.
Why's Rain using her boy voice again in panel 1? No reason at all really why she would do that, so is it just a typo?
