Let’s just pretend the guys in the first three panels are the tallest kids in school. Seriously though, this was clearly a error with proportions on my part. Honestly, not really sure what went wrong there.
But more importantly, then there’s Drew. Many have probably LONG since forgotten who he is, so let me do something kind of unusual for me and fill in the gaps: Drew’s that blonde guy in the last panel, and he’s well known for the pervy vibe he gives off -
At the Halloween party, Drew and Kylie (presenting male at the time) had a brief chat while intoxicated -
While nothing happened between them, Drew found himself still thinking about (and apparently attracted to) Ky the next day -
And still weeks later -
Drew obviously doesn’t know Kylie’s true identity, but in the fact remains that the whole situation has caused him to question his sexuality.
And now we’re finally catching up with this arc a bit, and this character remains unsure of himself two whole months later. Or does he? What do you guys think? Is Drew actually gay or not?

I really like that drawing of Rain in the second to last panel
Hmm. He was attracted to Kylie when he was presenting as male, but is also attracted to Rain. I would guess bisexual, then. But who knows! I'm curious to find out. :3
This looks to be a promising chapter!
I want to see if Drew becomes a supporting character :3
omg but how cute would it be if Rain was actually that short
Probably bi, maybe pan.
I think he's likely to be bi. We haven't seen enough of him to judge for certain, but I think he's honestly attracted to girls... But I also suspect, at least subconsciously, he knows he's attracted to guys. He's always been a bit over-the-top about it, it could be overcompensation. Only this time he actually spent time with a boy he was attracted to and it made a bigger impact.
Incidentally, is there any convention with how to refer to Ky/lie? I've been using female pronouns if she's presented as a girl or male ones when he's presented as a boy but it suddenly strikes me that might be a little rude.
For example, Rain is a girl, even when she's dressed as a boy and answering to Ryan.
I think referring to Kylie by the pronouns that represent how she's presenting at the time would be appropriate.
Speaking from personal experience, I came out to my friends long before I started transition or even went full time. Many were super supportive and would refer to me as female even if I wasn't dressed that way. And this was cool, in private. But there were instances where, for example, I was at work (where I was not out) and a friend would walk into the store and shout, "HI JOCELYN!".
Probably the only times I ever didn't want to be called that. But yeah, they meant well, but even saying the right thing can be problematic if at the wrong time. With that in mind, using female pronouns for a female-presenting Kylie, and male pronouns for a male-presenting Ky is, I think, pretty appropriate.
@Jaebird: Ky seems to be gender fluid (which in her case seems to mean alternating between male and female), which would mean that whereas Rain is still a girl even when she's answering to Ryan, Ky's stated name and presentation at any one moment are likely to reflect their gender at that moment. Also what Jocelyn says about if they're binary male but still partially closeted, not good form to out them without their explicit permission - but I'm not sure that bit applies to readers talking about a fictional character :P
Thank you Jocelyn and Allie
The way he acted around Rain at first could well have been him trying to convince himself he was attracted to girls.
I'd say he could be *anything* at this point.
I think if straight means someone who is attracted to characteristics of the opposite gender, he could be considered straight, since he might, subconsciously, recognize female traits in Kylie, even when she is presenting herself as male, and consciously noting the female traits of Rain, even though the only way Rain is female, so far, is the way she acts and dresses. Please forgive me for the dry analysis, just something I have pondered on before, and thought, I would share my thoughts on it
If I had to guess, I'd say that he's bi. I actually feel kind of sorry for him, because there is always a chance he was so sheltered by a lifelong catholic education that he simply doesn't understand what 'bi' actually is, which isn't really his fault, but will no doubt bring him a lot of frustration and confusion in the coming months(or possibly even years)
I'm going with bi, 'cause that's how I am. I don't care what's in your pants. I'm just attracted to cute people, but preferably ones with brains as well.
It's pretty cool that this school has a "tall people club".
