I'm curious, what do you give as a present for this kind of occasion? a dress, shoes or a figure from that manga rain likes?
That's adorable! No one got me a present when I came out though :(
i really like this page its cute and i would guess maybe a new set of falsies for rain.
@Danielle: Don't feel too bad. I didn't get anything either. :/
It would be nice if everyone whould get at least a card like this considering how hard it can be...
I didnt exactly get anything like a gift, BUT I did move in with my biological mother in portland oregon. I love it here :3
@LittleLynn84: well, my first thought was a manga, since it's about the right size... but that doesn't seem like something 8 people *could* pitch in for really :P
@stephenyandproud: I don't think its anything directly transition-related, cos Emily helped buy it remember and she doesn't know Rain is trans
Jocelyn, I just want to thank you for making this amazing webcomic! I'm loving every page! This has personal relevance to me, too, I'm transgendered, so just thank you for making this! ^_^
I googled and they're right. I found some congratulation cards for coming out as gay, but nothing to do with transgendered.
Thought this might be of interest:
"In what is being described as the first known event of its kind, a transgendered teen was named as her high school’s homecoming queen on Friday.
"'I am so proud to win this not just for me, but everyone out there,' 16-year-old Cassidy Campbell said after receiving her crown during the halftime of Marina High’s homecoming football game Friday night in Huntington Beach, CA."

@Fairportfan:
I read about this. Super exciting news. I'm so happy for her, and I agree with her that this is a victory and progress made for all trans people. Sadly, on the article I read (not Yahoo), I made the mistake of scrolling down to the comments, showing we still have a long way to go.
But the news itself is fantastic, and I wish Cassidy only the best. ^_^
@LittleLynn84: Yeah, i'd expect that.
Sad.
@Danielle: if I knew you then, I probably would have gotten you a gift or thrown a party
@Flexor: Aww <3
@LittleLynn84: Never read the comments.... never. Ugh :/
