It’s been addressed many times throughout the story that Rain does not have a phone. Or a “FaceSpace” account. The introvert that she is, it was just never terribly important for someone like her to be able to connect. I used to be like that myself. Still am, really (except that I’ve opened up enough to have a phone and FaceSpace Facebook).
Even if you’re not into something, a small personalizing feature like a case can be a powerful motivator.

When texting first came about, I didn't see the point, but then I got a plan that included it and now I use it all the time.
I was really resistant to texting forever. Like you though, I got a plan for it (and moreover, a slide out keyboard), and now I suddenly don't think it's so bad. XD
thats a cool present :)
I still don't text unless there's no other way to get a message to whoever i need to.
And i don't use social media.
Just an old Luddite, i guess.
This reminds me of my phone... I was upset when a janitor stole it (after I accidentally left it in a class room) because I had spent a few months customizing it, not because I couldnt talk to people. :p
is it sad that I can see myself acting like that with an Elfen Lied case?
also: your looking good there Jocelyn
Her friends are really nice, doing something like that - I'd be really grateful.
By the way, nice profile pic! :D
I wish I had that phone case!(if I had a phone to go with it, lol)
PS: I love your new profile pic! :D
I miss texting with the old digit pad phones. Even if I was doing something that required as much concentration as driving, I could send a text without ever having to look at the screen. But then I'd miss all the new Android stuff.
