I didn’t realize until now that it might not be entirely clear, this is all taking place on the same day as the previous chapter. Rain is still off at her appointment, and everyone else is going about their day. So Rudy is in Brother Arthur’s office due to what he’d said (or yelled, really) to Drew in the last chapter.
Originally, these were going to be two separate pages, but I think there’s a better flow in keeping them together. So I did. And no one complained, I’m sure.
Thoughts? Is Rudy correct here, or is he being foolish? And what of Brother Arthur’s cut off warning about Rudy’s dad? What do we think Mr. Strongwell is really capable of?
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

(Trans, Gay, Bi, Pan and Ace now available! Others coming soon, and we're open to suggestion!)
Wow. I hope that's the first troll like that you've gotten :( What an asshole. I'm really liking the story lately, by the way.
koffing, if you do not like trans people just go away, I am sure god would love for you to to stop spreading your stupidity because god loves everyone
I think that Rudy is doing the right thing about not pretending to be straight for the sake of others, but at the same time he should have been a bit more polite (he could have at least waited to hear what Brother Arthur was going to warn him about).
And also, please don't let what that idiot said get to you. You look absolutely beautiful! Whoever said that is just jealous of how stunning you look! ;)
I know I'm not the author but guys just ignore him.
Let him waste his time with caps :) one annoyance doesn't change the hundreds of good things. Besides, he's obivously a troll...
And Koffing, I'll give you some tips to trolling;
Never admit nor deny you're a troll.
The less caps, the better the troll. If you can't get your attention without it then you're shameful to the trolling community. Also try another act, the whole "I'm a bringer of truth and I know right from wrong and you're all dummies because I can insult people" is so old. Try something else, I would give you advice but I'm afraid that's not allowed. I've said more then I should of.
Mm she is pretty....
(Mostly the hair though XD I just like brown curly hair that's tamed because mine enjoys tangling with the other curles *Sigh* the sorrows of a curly long haired girl.)
I think he's doing the right thing too.
Also I knew it was all in the same day ^^ (I just forgot what he yelled)...
The only time related confusions (or the only confusion at all, really) was the fact that it's only a week or so after the Christmas thing XP
Edit/ (So I don't spam)
I right I forgot to mention that your FAQ is black on black... so very difficult to read.
Man I'm talkative today, huh? I normally just float around.. anyways I'm going to be commenting a lot more (probably just on this and very few other comics) so yeah, just thought I'd say.
Also is there a forum or something for this? I noticed other places have one (because I just floated around, forums never did pop up for me)
Troll game weak.
Yay, a new Rain update :) I really don't think Rudy's dad would even have a case against the school, so I'm not really worried there. I'm more concerned about the psychological effects on everyone involved.
I don't think he was being foolish. He's being realistic and I give him tons of credit for standing up for himself. I only wish I had the courage to stand up for myself like that sometimes.
Oh my god Koffing
The school should do something about that father.
And Rudy, help them! You don't have to pretend to be straight but your father is the one causing trouble.
Brother Arthur seems rather reasonable here. Yes, he is asking Rudy do pretend to be something he's not but, he is only trying to protect the school. It looks like he doesn't care that Rudy's gay, he just cares that Rudy's father is moments away from causing a scene.
(Also, I know I shouldn't feed the troll, but I'm wondering; is Koffing a girl or a boy?)
I think Rudy is being emotional, as is his right to be. And while I think he should have listened to what Brother Arthur had to say, Rudy has made his choice and I don't think there's anything that could have been said to make his will bend. And I think that is to be respected.
Simply put, maybe he should have let Arther finish what he was about to say if for no other reason than to assess possible threats to the well being of himself or others, but he is totally within his rights to get upset over the conversation. That said, I do feel for Arthur, he seems like a nice enough person who's just stuck between a rock and a hard place here.
PS, Jocelyn you look amazing, don't worry about the troll's trolling.
Then again only The Creator and The Fallen are the only ones close to Evil and some of the actions of The Creator can be considered truly lacking morality
wow he found a comic, read through it enough to make a personal attack. so far hes spent more time reading it than i have. and i like the comic.
I'm so glad no one's taking this dinkus seriously. The only thing that really makes me sad is that this is one of my first trolls and he's not even trying. Anyone laugh at how pathetic this is? I for one lost it at "SANCTITY OF NATURALLY PRODUCED VAGINAS!" I'll be laughing about that all day, I'm sure. XD
Anyway, I thank you for your concern, but you guys don't have to worry about me. It's so pathetically ridiculous, I can't even take offense. Just ignore him as best you can and he'll go away. ^_^
@LittleLynn84 one I have been a long time reader and I believe that god makes us all different, and I also believe that Koffing is likely an individual who is jealous of your bravery or found you attractive then upon realizing your rebirth as it were found a conflict within themselves and found they needed to lash out to make themselves feel better a typical juvenile reaction I am glad your strong and able to withstand the lame and truly ridiculous bashing from the troll anyhow Loving it and I agree Rudy is founded though he should have listened to the finish if only out of respect
I do feel sorry for Brother Arthur, because he is between a rock and a hard place; but that doesn't mean Rudy should go closeted again. Like Rosalia said, a little sympathy for the guy, maybe, in the form of hearing him out politely. But ultimately it's the phobes who are responsible for the trouble and nobody else who's responsible to lie for their pleasure.
I share Rudys opinion and would probably react as angry and hurt as he did... He is so straightforward most of the time and true to himself, that's what I like about him.^^
@LittleLynn84 It's amazing how you can brush that "troll-attack" aside that simple. You're awesome!
I learned a long time ago that trolls are just really really bored people. Just say nothing at all to them (or about them) and they just get even more bored and go away.
I just noticed today how much the art has improved ^.^ the story is getting better too!
Mm... Arthur doesn't seem half bad now that we know him. He doesn't care about him being gay but is just worried on what his father would do.
It's like my princaple who wouldn't let us go out for lunch during the first weeks of school. She knew we wouldn't get hurt.... but she also didn't want to deal with parents.
I definitely see both sides of this. I don't think Rudy should pretend to be straight, but I don't bring up my lack of religion around my parents to respect them. I allow them to have hope that my religion might change. (no chance on my sexuality and they've finally understood that, which is respectful towards me and I want to reciprocate. But people should respect their parents anyway.)
...handled that way better than I would've if I were him in that position.
Even though I want to say "Go Rudy Go!"
I'm saying "No, Rudy! No!"
I mean, dont get me wrong I'm glad he won't pretend to be straight- but I find he is being incredibly rude. I guess it's just how i was brought up: Do not interrupt a figure of authority (ie: a teacher or dean). You can politely but sternly decline and assert yourself as your own person without bring rude.
I guess, what Im blatantly trying to say is this: Put on your big-boy pants, Rudy. Don't let your rollercoster emotions get the better of you. Some dogs bite back.
You'll find that parents can do a lot of damage to a school's finances and reputation (and they don't have to be rich or powerful to do so). Some people just don't think about long-term consequences of their actions, they only care about getting what they (think) they want.
And I went back through the archives, Brother Arthur is not the one they have to worry about. Father Quenton is.
I liked him better when he stuck up for the queer kids :/
Brother Arthur is an interesting character as always, and I'm really glad to see him back in his "natural habitat" (you know, talking to students about their situation in his office)
