I lose it at the second and third panels every time. XD
And yet it manages to be a really rough page too.
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.
The expressiveness of your characters continues to amaze me. I was going to post something about Liriel being rude, but than I realized how obvious it was. Not accepting a relationship is awful, but kicking people out of the house is the sort of thing that can't be taken back.
People have arguments, discussions, differences. Telling your sister that she is no longer welcome at your home? That goes beyond any of those.
@Pretzel: May I point out Liriel doesn't seem to be rude, its more that she is scared how her husband may react to having her sister dating a girl. The author could have had the father kick them out, but I believe the goal is to keep the father anonymous. Thus Liriel had to be the one to kick them out. It also shows the shadow the anonymous dad casts over the family.
Can we get Pasta Cat Bim Bam T-shirts?
@nesagsar: I second that!
Anyway wonder how Rain ended up with Fara?
@Sheep: I agree that the writing was good in that it shows the influence of the father- you are absolutely right. And while there is no polite way to kick people out, the other solution is to smooth things over temporarily, refer to Vivian as a mere friend, for formality's sake, and discuss later when there aren't children around.
Degrading a relationship is bad, but not as bad as booting somebody out completely.
If I ever have children, I'm going to teach them soooooo many derogatory terms. XD
@Darkness Komet: As much as I am fighting the urge to spoil why (not sure how much of Rain you've read) I think it is spoken of in earlier chapters. Also, if you can, I suggest getting Rain Volume 1, the bonus chapter in it shows Rain moving in with Fara and other things I don't want to spoil. Well, worth it in my opinion.
I was just reading "Just Like Him" from chapter 13, and I noticed that when Fara slaps Aiken it was right after he said he was surrounded by "these people." Nice
I hate to say it but it is not easy solution here. Given the way rain. Mom talked about her dad and the fact that he also AWL you been given the impression that he's not open-minded or nice guy.
So it looks like she was picking the worst of two evils when dancing in a minefield
yelling at her sister or dealing with her angry husband. I'm getting the distinct impression that if he angry enough he might be physical abusive to his family. If they don't tote his view
Pasta cat bim-bam! is my new favorite term.
Rain, you were an adorable troublemaker at 2.
"PASTA CAT BIM BAM!"
Rain as a toddler was so cute! Also, I hope Rain's father doesn't mess with her life or the life of her friends. I hope he is in prison or something.
