Elsewhere at about the same time, it seems Emily is over at Rain's place. It must be kind of a relief to be at a friend's home where she's not going to be judged for her pregnancy. Commentary and questions are inevitable in said situations though. And of course, when it's Fara's home, playful teasing should be expected. XD
And then of course, there's Rain's reactions. Or... is it any of it worth noting?
By the way, to save you some trouble, fourteen weeks would take us back to about the last week of October.
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.
I'd like to add that the RainComicStore is going through some changes currently, so the catalog may look a bit different.
Also, I've said this before, but I'm trying to raise money for SRS, and I'm still struggling with it. If you can help, it would be most welcome. If not, don’t worry about it. I totally understand (you don't need to feel bad or apologize if you can’t).
Now that she's showing a little bit, I can't help but wonder. Emily's parents know about the pregnancy, right? If not it's going to get hard to hide later on...oh! Also, any chance of involving the father anytime in the future?
I'm thorn with Emily here. on one hand I feel happy for her because she seems happy right now but on the other I don't know if keeping the baby would be the best for it or for her.
She is too young for this definitely and though I think they could be happy together it seems like a really thorny path to take (compared to adoption for example).
@happybunnyntx: No clue about whether the Pop's coming back - he didn't seem interested earlier, but he didn't know about the baby then, either. As far as Emily's parents, I wouldn't count on them knowing. Emily's mom couldn't be bothered to show up for Christmas, and I don't think her dad has made an appearance yet.
@happybunnyntx & Pretzel:
Are we talking about Emily's dad? He's not really in the picture. Just never was, apparently.
As part of the Libertarian party, I'm pro-choice, but only up to a certain extent. I beleive that abortion should only be used if it is absolutely necessary. If you know that you will never be able to keep the baby and have a successful life, then abortion is a valid option. But only if you choose it before 18 weeks, because that is when the baby has grown a brain and nervous system and can feel pain. Also, giving the baby up for adoption is good too, but you don't want to over run the adoption centers, since that would mean more mouths to feed, clothes to buy, etc. I realize this is a sensative topic, but I just thought that before this became a Liberal-Conservative flame war, a Libertarian could come in and clear things up. But if anyone feels they have a valid point, I'm all for having a decent, educated, calm debate.
I would much rather politics or moral philosophies stay out of this, to be honest. I mean, I have watched decent, educated, calm debates on this subject devolve into unintelligible screaming matches (and nobody ever wins). I can't stop anyone from discussing it if they really want to, but I feel like it'd be missing the point. I'm really trying to write this from a very neutral standpoint where politics, faith, philosophy and whatever else are kind of irrelevant to what Emily is doing.
I dunno about this whole development. It just kinda feels like there's too much going on now, and that means everything moves way slower, and usually has less detail. At some point, the extra issues just kinda seem to be a bit much, anyway, and all these side arcs with new(er) characters just kinda make it feel like AFFC. I've been quite enjoying the main story. Is a random teen pregnancy thing being crammed in the middle, that promises to be a long issue really necessary?
I wonder if Emily's mom won't find out until well after the baby is born... surprise!
@LittleLynn84: I meant the baby's father, his name escapes me, emily's old boyfriend.
Are the January girl and/or boy going to feature again?
I'm sorry you feel that way. All I can say, is that this isn't as random as you might think. This was ALWAYS planned for the story (albeit initially, it was going to be someone else that was pregnant). Just know that everything I do is for a reason.
Oh, you mean Chase. Yes. We will see him again.
And we will see more of Ana and Brett in the future too.
What was with the Malware notification yesterday? Seems like every webcomic I read with an lgbt focus has gotten one in the last week or so.
@lilykitsune: Honestly I feel the complete opposite! ^^
I don't know. It was just there and then it wasn't. Someone told me the same thing happened with another comic they read, but I only really know about mine in this case. I couldn't get on SmackJeeves at all last night, even. But you say it happened to a lot of LGBT comics?
Radical anti-gay hackers, maybe? XD
Don't forget, if something is ever wrong with this site, I post the comic on three. I've seen a number of situations where one site is down or something when I'm trying to post, but the others are fine, so if you need to catch up and SmackJeeves is being weird, remember you can also go to:

Comic Fury - http://comicfury.com/comicprofile.php?url=rain
I knew you posted on other sites, but I couldn't get on here to find out which ones >_<
So is it just me, or is rain sort of... jellous? I don't know, but it seems to me that she just maybe wants the baby herself?
@Tywyll: Maybe Rain is jealous, but not because she wants the baby. IF she's jealous, I think she's jealous of the simple fact that Emily can get pregnant. *Gives Rain lots of hugs*
@Lenn that makes a lot more sense, now that i think about it.
I have a theory: Rain's father is absent, and Emily's father is absent... and they are "sisters"... Oh my stars! I hope I am wrong. Also, yay for Emily keeping the baby!
