I added this page kinda last second. It's not terribly relevant, but I just wanted a good banter page before really jumping into the main topic with these three. I've sorta wanted an excuse to make the Kylie/pigtails nod too. You see, back in the original fantasy version of the story, Kylie wasn't genderfluid or anything. Just a very average girl. And she happened to have long pigtails. She was also taller, lankier, shyer, and in general, just a much less memorable character (she's practically a separate character now apart from the name, and much better off for it). So Emily's "different person" line is actually kind of accurate.
Rain's explanation in the last panel would be completely accurate too, while simultaneously still not outing herself to Emily. All things considered, Rain's hair really isn't THAT long for 4-5 years of growth (especially not compared to Emily there), but I seem to remember it took ages for my hair to grow pre-transition. It grows a lot faster now (ironically, almost too fast sometimes). I kinda didn't even realize that would happen. XD
Also, in case anyone wasn't clear on it, Rain is brushing Emily's hair here. Why? Because it's cute and I can totally see Rain asking to do so. ^_^
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.
Also, I've said this before, but I'm trying to raise money for SRS, and I'm still struggling with it. If you can help, it would be most welcome. If not, don’t worry about it. I totally understand (you don't need to feel bad or apologize if you can’t).
I have terribly Greek hair, so my hair not only has a lot of volume and body to it, but it is also wiry...Imagine pubes on your head, but wavy and longer LOL. I've tried growing out my hair and straightening it, but to no avail. Anyway, I wear my hair slightly long and slicked back with a flare up at the ends. Basically, I look like Loki from the Thor movies. But after I transition, I'm going to just get it cut in a generic short style. My only fear is that, becuase I have a rather built body type, I will still be mistaken as a guy. XD
It's all a matter of finding the look that frames your face best. I've tried short hair a couple times; it really just masculinizes my face (which is a shame, because I love short hair on women). Long hair just suits me better though. On the plus side, it's also a lot of fun, 'cause I can do different things with it everyday. XD
My hairs actually a lot like yours but more curly.. you could put your finger through a curl and not touch the hair... but there's not too many. hard to say.
Now it's short because curly hair is too difficult to keep in order :c
Not short like Ky's... barely passing shoulders? It's hard to describe because curls always make your hair look a bit shorter than it actually is.
Personally I love short hair, it's more practical for me, and also considerably less effort, which are two factors I always think about before getting it cut. Currently my hair is shorter than Ky's. Just my fringe is slightly more under control, no hair clip, and have a sort of side parting. (My hair used to look like young Aunt Fara's, which amused me to see. Again no hair clip though.)
The reason I love short hair? Because it means that even when I've just woken up, I don't have to do much to it to make it look like I actually spent time on it. Even the wind being blustery just makes it look like I styled my hair in a certain way. Ultimate lazy hair haha.
My hair is almost halfway down my back, because im trying to grow it down to my butt, just to say i did. xD I usually pull it over to one side and braid it, so you wouldnt know. (Like Katniss in the Hunger Games movies) I have really thick and curly hair, so its a mess to deal with after a shower...
This is such a cute scene. :P Traditional female bonding!
The right dosage of female hormones does make hair grow faster. Pregnancy is like that too.
OH MAN! Seeing this page after the latest update, augh. Ended up twisting the knife that was already in my heart. Shit
Urgh, Rain, I know your pain. I've been growing my hair for two/three years now, and it has still barely reached my shoulders. My mother keep trying to scissor it up doesn't help either ^_^"
That being said, I really want to see Ky with long hair as described > u < And not just the original concept art, actually her/him!
