That sure is swell of Emily to offer such support for a friend like that in her time of need. But can Rain really take her up on her offer? Rain would probably need to come clean about a few things first, but the longer she waits, the harder it gets (especially with Emily opening up about herself to Rain more and more lately).
And is it possible that's not the only thing about Emily's proposition troubling Rain right now...?
As I said last time, I'm just going to take a short one week hiatus and jump right back in on Friday, April 4th. This wasn't originally something I wanted to do, but I just need a little break after all the crazy hard work I've been doing with Volume 2.
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.
Also, don't forget to check out my interview with Claire Parker, alongside Closetspace's Jenn Dolari (now available at your own leisure) if you missed it!
Also also, with Winter [finally] coming to a close, the RainComicStore on Etsy is taking a hiatus from selling scarves. However, my wife has taken up a new craft: beading. And she's using that talent to make magnets and pins in a variety of forms. Do check it out. ^_^
Rain! Tell her it will be harder if u wait!!
DUN DUN DUUUUN!!!
I honestly love Emily for this. There are few things as awkward to spectate as someone else's family problems, so I think it's very generous to offer to come along so freely and automatically.
@Jaebird: I so agree with you! I have grown to love her!
She's not judgemental! She wants to help you! She's pan herself! She's perfectly fine with LGB+, why wouldn't she be okay with T? She told about her pregnancy! She obviously trusts you a lot! Return the favor already!
Edit: Also when she told you she was pan, she mentioned non-binary genders. She's perfectly okay with gender minorities as well as sexual minorities! Nothing to fear! Nothing!
@SilvergrayDragon: Except that Emily strongly hates liars. Rain has, essentially, been doing that. In public is one thing, but to the woman she calls sister?
@Tabula: Keeping silent about being trans is not lying. That line of thinking is the basis of the whole 'gay panic' thing.
Mind you, I'm not saying that's what you meant, not at all. Just that being safe is more important than being honest. And even then, Rain hasn't actually lied to Emily, just avoided the full truth.
And that's a good point to stop for day three of Rain the webcomic. Still not caught up, but only a little bit left before the waiting starts.
