In case anyone is unaware, PDA means public displays of affection (which is exactly what it sounds like). I think that's a fairly well known term, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Just in case someone thinks, "I didn't see Maria OR Chanel with a Personal Digital Assistant just now. What is she talking about?" Or I dunno. Whatever other acronyms might come to mind. Public displays of affection is the one Debbie is referring to here.
Also, I've decided Holly humor makes for some of my favorite humor to write. XD
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.
Also, I've said this before, but I'm trying to raise money for SRS, and I'm still struggling with it. If you can help, it would be most welcome. If not, don’t worry about it. I totally understand (you don't need to feel bad or apologize if you can’t).
I was wondering if they both had the newest ipads or something....
I graduated high school in 1982. I instantly understood what "PDA" was referring to. And in our public school, it was frowned upon (I think because it was considered a distraction?).
Why do I get the feeling Debbie would have no problem with it if they were a straight couple?
this is probably weird...but i would sooo date Holly. She's adorable <3
@Guest: me too. hahaha
Honestly the 2nd panel feels....a little out of place from the first one. like it feels forced dialog in a way from the first Panel. Like I've said it several different ways in my head but it doesn't flow right in my mind. Sorry for the criticism though.
You're more than welcome to critique. In fact, I appreciate you telling me. I don't personally see a problem with the wording, but that doesn't mean it's not worth saying.
Out of curiosity, did anyone else have trouble with the dialogue there? I've been known to word things strangely before and think nothing of it, so if anyone else agrees here, maybe this is one of those times?
@LittleLynn84: To me it's just the way it went. Like it goes from her saying to "you're just jealous" to "I am" with no real prompting or any wait between it. Like having her say "....I know I am..." would at least to me be a better transition, showing her inner feelings with that expression stating that she does infact feel alone and sad.
No, looks just fine to me too. Completely natural.
And wow, Holly's being really Holly there.
I didn't see Maria OR Chanel with a Personal Digital Assistant just now. What is she talking abo- oh, public display of affection. I never heard this initialism before, so I was somewhat confused. Obviously, it's easy to grasp through context.
Also, I did not have the same issue as Kituki. It felt very natural to me ^_^
Haha, I love Holly and Debbie together... not as a couple, but just as friends~ (sorry if that sounded homophobic; I'm just saying they're really funny friends. Nuthin against LGBT)
@YoyoString: Not shipping two characters isn't homophobic at all~
Don't be afraid to see love in whoever you want! Or, in this case, seeing "just friends" in them =p
