Hey, look! Gavin's overthinking things again! XD
Speaking as a bit of an overthinker myself, I can relate to Gavin here. The best thing that boy could do for himself is just NOT dwell on the things Ana said... but when you have a tendencey to stress out over dumb, irrelevant things (like this) as is, not dwelling is easier said than done.
As for "girl riddles", I don't think that's a thing. We're just looking at a guy who fails to comprehend women's behavior (in that it might seem like a riddle to him). XD Try not to think too hard about it.
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.
In case you hadn't gotten the memo yet, Rain - Volume 2 is FINALLY available for purchase! It covers Chapters 7 through 14 (plus an exclusive bonus chapter), and features much higher quality. So check it out if you can. ^_^
Aww, poor Gavin, haha. While it is rather cryptic, I think he should just not dwell on it and see what happens.
Also, I think it's super awesome to see Maria, Chanel, and Emily all sitting together and it seems enjoying each others company! Maybe Emily And Maria are finally putting whatever happened between them in the past to rest. Or did they already do that and I just forgot?
For Maria and Emily, it's a bit of a work in progress. I guess you could say it's a bit of a silent agreement to behave, given they have the same friends. I'll be going more into it pretty soon though, so I'll leave it at that for now.
Eh, I don't think that "girl riddles" are a thing, but I think they happen very unintentionally, by trying to be too kind. I know I'm guilty. ^^;
Is it wrong that I think he looks so adorable in this? But, he is so interesting. He's like most of the boys I know, where they try to go out with someone, and they are really clueless, then they come to me. XD But, I can't wait to see what happens next for everyone! And, I am pretty sure there is something going on with Ana, but we will see.... hehehehe.
In all fairness, I tend to look for hidden meanings too much as well, because as an Aspie I've had to learn the hard way how common hidden meanings ARE in neurotypical-dominated society that members of the NT majority overwhelmingly understand instinctually. But this is a different thing. When an otherwise-socially-astute neurotypical male looks for cryptic messages in things women say, but not things other men say? Well, patriarchal society conditions men to think of women as an incomprehensible "other" who go out of our way to confound them.
I just had a thought... I've seen no indication of whether Ana is cis or trans*, but a few people have speculated that she's trans*... if that does turn out to be the case, and Gavin finds out before Rain does, I really really hope he doesn't out one of them to the other
If Ana is trans like people are theorizing, then maybe this is like what happened between Aiken and his former girlfriend whose name I can't remember! (Thanks, Fara!)
Except Gavin, thankfully, is a little more open minded when it comes to trans people, so this should hopefully turn out a lot better.
@LittleLynn84: Ey girl its Tuesday, what happened to Mondays? I need mah fix.
Monday's post went up Sunday night, actually. And Wednesday's post will probably be going up tonight. ^_^
Yes, technically Monday, Wednesday and Friday are the official posting days. However, I'm pretty much always aiming to post the night before. This is for two reasons. For one, if I end up being "late" by a day for some reason, it's not technically late because it's the official posting day. And two, I'm usually just too excited to wait. XD
@LittleLynn84: Ooohhh I thought they were a day late because they're almost every other day and I haven't been following long enough to be able to tell the difference yet. I love your comic, I only found it a few days ago and read them all the first day. c:
Fair enough. And welcome to the comic. I hope you will continue to enjoy it.
I'm liking Emily more and more. You should have her wear her glasses more often. It totally fits her style of humor.
