No doubt part of her hesitation is based on concern about going back out there to hear yet more misgenderings and ignorant questions (even if you're a resilient person, that can be hard to take in fast succession). But I think it's safe to say another part of her hesitation is, "oh god, the girl I like just reached out to hold my hand."
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.
Also, I've said this before, but I'm trying to raise money for SRS, and I'm still struggling with it. If you can help, it would be most welcome. If not, don’t worry about it. I totally understand (you don't need to feel bad or apologize if you can’t).
I love you rain!!!
Rain is such a strong person.
My extended family is coming up for my birthday in a week or two and I'm really dreading it. I live full time as my true gender, misgendering never happens any more- but I know when they visit I'm going to get showered with the wrong name and pronouns until they leave, and the fact that this is my "birthday gift" just makes it so much more infuriating and difficult to deal with.
But if this little high school girl can tough it out, so can I.
You're stronger than I am, that's for sure! I'd probably just run away for the weekend or something in that situation. lol Hopefully it's over quickly for you so you can get back to being referred to with the right pronouns/name. Also, happy early birthday! :]
Back on topic, Emily's kewl. Super kewl. :D
Awww, Rain. She's quite smitten, isn't she??
Oh I hope Rain/Emily happens....
From the time I came out to my family there hasn't been any misgendering or wrong names. Now if only my husband's side of family could be like that.
I really don't see Rain and Emily together on a romantic level. I can see them trying it out but I see them staying more sisters than lovers.
@KarenLyn: Maybe lovers is a stretch, and they are still probably too young for that to work anyway. Romantic is something else entirely. Love and affection don't need a physical element.
And also the wording, "go out together", even I misinterpreted it for a second XD or does going out with someone not also mean dating them in the US?
"Go out together" can mean dating in a romantic sense, or it can mean just two or more friends hanging out. Mostly the romantic sense, but its not uncommon to hear it in the platonic.
But she said "go out there together", which doesn't really have the same connotations.
@Grenartia: oh yeah, so she did :P
Which is probably influenced by the fact that I just took a chance by telling a guy I like that I like him and he's surprised me by talking about "throwing caution to the wind" :3
Alright I noticed something in the last panel. It looks like she is blushing, but I find her hand positioning to be a little...interesting. With what happened with the January girl(I am drawing a blank, I am bad with names) I have only one idea why she has both hands like that. I could be totally wrong.
@Guest: oh yeah, didn't notice that before XD
@Guest: Can you remember if she has anti androgens yet?
She does not. Rain has taken nothing so far.
My question is, has Emily noticed it, and just isn't saying anything, or is she oblivious?
Oh goddex, what a time to get reminded of that. The stressful things just keep adding up here.
