I know there's been some concern regarding Rain lately, considering it's been almost two months since the last time a new page was posted (it hurts to even say that). But I want to assure you it's not over, and I don't intend for it to be over any time soon (we're actually only at approximately the halfway point to my goal). So, don't go too far. Rain IS coming back.
Anyway, yeah. Four years ago today, the very first page of Rain went up. I'm not really sure what else to add that I haven't already poured my heart out over on previous anniversaries. Let me just say this though: I've put a lot into Rain over the years, and I've gotten a lot back in return (like an amazing, diverse, loyal, and just plain wonderful readership who will stick by me through times of uncertainty, and the incredible feeling of self-worth that comes from that). And this is, I think, in large part why I've been able to keep so optimistic through my current ordeal. It's been scary for sure (still is a little), but I'm here and I'm happy and I'm eager to tell this story to the end.
With that said, despite this long hiatus, I do want to raise a glass to four straight years of mostly consistent posting thus far. May there be at least another four to five years of queer drama, silly humor, and more love triangles than anyone knows what to do with. XD
I love you all so much! Have an amazing day!
CONGRATS HUN! Wow, 4 years already?! Can't even believe it! But I'm really happy to know we're still at halfway.. I just love your stories so much, I don't want them to ever end! :D
Wow, I haven't been on top of it since the beginning, but, when I did get into it, I was hooked, such a good comic
I can't wait for Rain to get started again. I love this webcomic, and it's been a hole in my morning routine when you were getting healthy. I'm so glad you're coming to the end of this whole ordeal, and that there's plenty of Rain left. I can't wait!
:D anticipation face!
I've only been reading since September, but it seems that it should be longer then 4 years. around 580 or so comics, most webcomics I've read have been going for 5-6 years.
Let's make this next year the biggest one yet!
Four years! Wow! I only started reading in early 2014, but I never guessed it's been going on for this long!
A while ago Rain mentioned that her dad was the first to find out about her, and she said it pretty much killed her hope of being accepted. If we don't learn more about this very very soon I will literally explode, which probably wouldn't be very good.
@Dragon: My guess is that when he found out his wife was dying, he couldn't hack it so decided to leave. He was about to kiss the kids goodnight/goodbye, walked into Ryan's room and found his son in a dress putting on make-up. So he turned around and left, possibly without a word. And now Rain thinks he left because of her.
Of course, I don't get the final say on what happened.
@Warrl: Rain's first time wearing any girl clothes wasn't until just after moving in with Fara though.
WHOOOOO FOUR YEARS OF RAIN! BRAVO! Let's hope for many more years!
its been a long time sense i have said anything on here (under another name) but i have always been looking to when the next page will come out. so knowing you are only 1/2 way is a bitter/sweet thing. knowing we still have a lot left, but also 1/2 of it is over. keep up the good work and hope you do well in years to come! loves <3
I hadn't checked in since your Transgender Day of Remembrance post (because I knew there was no way you would miss posting for that, cancer be damned) and I am really glad to see these three updates. I kind of made a semi-attempt to brighten the mood on the post where you announced the hiatus, and I felt silly about it. But truthfully I was scared for you; as a straight heterosexual cis-gendered male, you are one of the strongest people I know (or know of I should say...). Congrats on the fourth year, and here's looking forward to the next four. :)
I'm really glad that there's still more to come! I haven't been a "die-hard fan", having only found this comic due to a chance post made by one of my classmates about it, but I was instantly hooked! Keep up the excellent work, stay healthy, and let's make 2015 the best year of Rain yet!
Congrats! <|:) I love your comic <3
More like four queer years, rite? :þ
