In case anyone forgot from earlier in the chapter (in fairness, it was a long time ago), Heather invited Jessica over for alcohol and venting about her recent relationship woes. So, in case it wasn't obvious, they are quite intoxicated here. Yes, those glasses of wine are pretty full, but we can safely assume they're nobody's first glass. XD
Fara was technically invited too, but she is notably absent. Don't worry. We'll catch up with her again a bit later.
It's funny they should be bringing up Aiken though, considering all the development he's been going through lately. I wonder how he and Jess would act if put into a room together right about now (well, after she sobers up anyway). I mean, it's clear they both miss each other, and they both feel guilty about the way things turned out. But I imagine it would be hard to move past what transpired between them.

I'd love to see how Aiken and Jessica would act in front of each other again. Maybe Rain pushed the mallet of anti-bigotry far enough into his skull that he'll understand more ^^ (sorry for the crude metaphor...)
In a way, I think it'd be similar to Fara and Vincent, only a bit more harsh.
When Vince left Fara, it left Fara a little bit bitter, and they're having a difficult time reconciling, even though they both clearly care for one another still.
Aiken and Jessica's situation left both of them far worse than that, but both are on the road to recovery, so there's home for them reconciling...albeit with great difficulties. Given that they ALSO still clearly both care for the other, though, there's hope.
@Ranger: I totally TOTALLY agree with that!!! And I'd love to see it happen! <3
"The longest weekend".
I can't tell if you put that in there intentionally or not. :P
Heather the two-beer-queer getting plastered along with Jessica? This could get scary
@Guest: I'd ship it.
@Z: Aren't they both straight tho?
@Allie: Well since Ky has called Heather a two-beer-queer, I don't think that is completely true. I think she is bi, but like Nanase from El Goonish Shive, in the fact that she is in denial and won't even consider it. That or she just gets really intimate when she drinks. Both are good.
@Crestchan: right, that makes sense. Tho you know Nanase is dating a girl now, right?
@Allie: Yes I know that. I am glad she finally accept that part of her.
i started reading rain probably about a year ago on and off and i have finally caught up!! ^_^ I just wanna say thanks so much cause it always brightens my day and ill definitely be buying the volumes 1&2 when i can afford it!!
I know this comment wont be related to the current page and will be kind of long, sorries. My first time posting here.
So many heart-tugging moments. ^-^
Rain has to be one of the most loveable webcomic characters ever. I kind of want to say Ky is tied with her for my favorite.
What nationality is Jessica? She seems to be drawn differently with more angular eyes, I was wondering if its just her drawing style or if she is a different nationality.
@Xaiven : Her last name is Li, so I'm guessing she's Chinese.
Looks like this ship hasn't sunken completely yet. I really want to see the two meet again as well~
Jessica is of American nationality, but of some Asian ethnicity. I forgot what it was exactly, but Jocelyn explained it when Jessica first met Fara and became a major player in the comic. I think that was chapter 14 or something.
