I struggled a bit with how I wanted to represent Kylie in the dream. Whether male or female, or redirect focus to some other aspect of her character. Initially, I wanted to use the opportunity to canonically refer to the original fantasy version of Kylie (in all her pig-tailed glory). But while they're two versions of the same character, they share pretty much nothing in common. Including appearance. And if I didn't want to spend too long explaining why it was still technically Kylie, then I was just going to confuse people needlessly (and possibly give the wrong idea about her character). In the end, I think moving away from that line of thinking was for the better.
So Ky still presents female in the dream, but does herself have wings. In a way. They're not attached, so presumably, she's not always wearing them. It's one way of keeping her true to her character though, I think.
Not much to say about Heather here. She's just pretty standard Heather. Take her presence here how you will.

This is clever! I especially like the way the dialogue mirrors our first encounter with Ky(lie)- are those lines in the second to last panel the exact same ones they had back when Fara first met them?
It's not exact, but it's very close. ^_^
I'm glad someone caught that too.
And here we see symbolism with the subtlety of a GIGANTIC HAMMER TO THE FACE.
I think I can get Rain's annoyance here. Both of us kinda just want to see an adventure in Kaminari's world, but we keep having to be reminded of Rain's issues.
I get it, it's an important topic that this entire comic is centered around, but I think Rain deserves a bit of a break from her crazy life.
Dang. If the wings are analogous to girlhood, I wish I was a girl for just a little bit.
I've always wondered if I could pull off cross-dresssing, whether I'd be a pretty girl or not. It just sounds like a fun social experiment to pretend to be a girl for a bit, no offense intended to actual transgirls.
I noticed a comment on an older page of Rain (I think it was on Cardboard) commenting on the resemblence of Kaminari to +Anima. Compairing them further, I can even see some commonalities in the personalities of a few charecters. Are there any that will be the strong, silent type like Senri?
I don't think this page makes much sense, but I also don't think it has to. Kylie is adorable in this and, well, as George Lucas would put it: it rhymes :p
White winged Kylie looks really nice ^_^
