Slowly but surely, we're getting to see Marcus Flaherty's face. But the only times we've seen him in the story is in Rain's head, always covered in shadow, and always very intimidating. It really kinda says a lot about how she feels about him...
Also, this is a weird point to draw attention to, but originally I was going to give Kellen a sword. However, I needed her to take the first strike in a non-lethal way. And I just did not have any ideas I was confident enough to portray in a recognizable way. I was afraid I'd be hearing "Did Rain die?" all weekend until the next page. So I decided to give Kellen a hammer instead. It still looks painful, but I assure you Dream Rain will live. :P

Yay. Rain lives. Want to get rid of someone? call the ninja-cat with dual amethyst power swords that morphs into Machine-propelled-grenade launcher with an invisible 20x zoom scope disguised as a old-fashioned magnum revolver. ^V^
Huh...I noticed that the dad refer to Rain as "her", even in the context of "taking my son from me" it seems like there is some perception change. Then again, this is in Rain's head, where she disassociate herself so far from her past that her old self is considered to be a different person that Marcus is refering to.
@Rain Dreamer: It makes sense if you think about it being that Rain is a she, and she is "taking" Ryan from him simply by her being her, in the mind of Marcus.
Because "Ryan" can't be stolen away by 'himself'; it has to be Rain in Marcus's eyes.
Which is exactly the viewpoint that we're trying to OVERCOME. Thus why she's facing it.
God, I love this chapter.
*Sighs* Of course.
Mr Flahery's facial hair is the exact opposite of that of Gendo Ikari. I suppose I should be happy it's unique ;)
I'm now expecting a Yugi-style hairdo, though!
