Keep in mind that Vincent is totally out and proud. He doesn't actually care if Aiken knows he's trans. So he's not really trying to prevent Aiken from finding out; he's just having a little fun. In real life, when I meet new people who don't know me, I too have been known to humorously foreshadow to my being trans before I actually come out. It helps gauge reactions while simultaneously making it less "sudden and out of nowhere" when I invariably do come out. In my experience, people tend to respond pretty positively to it. Vincent and Aiken technically do vaguely know each other, but I figure the same rules could apply given that it's been a while.
Anyway, it seems like Aiken might have caught on, but the entire conversation is derailed by Rain approaching, and Fara declaring they're leaving. But what are the odds they can actually leave without a confrontation with Kellen?
(Also, I know there's been a bit of drama going on lately in my life, but let's keep comments here relevant to the page, okay? Thanks!) ^_^

I love Aiken's reaction here, you can just see him thinking about it. The train left the station, built up steam, then promptly derailed!
I love Aiken's expression in panel 4! xD
Drama or no drama, I cant get over how cute rain looks.
i had a guy who was discussing my getting into therapy mention he had gone to agnes scott college. took a few moments to realize and remember at the time he would have been attending a women's college.
I love Vincent xD He's the best <3
So, when Fara tells Aiken to give Kellen their regards, I hope she means the Game of Thrones kind of regards.
@Anon: They're siblings though, so be careful what you wish for. There are several kinds of GOT regards.
@Dragoness K: I meant the Lannister kind of regards.
Damn, that's still confusing, isn't it? If I say Lannister regards as given by Roose Bolton, does that make it better?
I've kind of been trying a similar thing, myself.
LOL. Vincent is just TOO swag! I love how he doesn't even cut his hair short to pass. May I say, I LOVE Rain's outfit in this! It's sooo pretty :) Emily did a great job with her hair. But the fact that Rain doesn't have a nose in the last panel is driving me nuts omg. ;D bye!
@Anonymous11243: It's either two eyes or a nose. You can't have both.
@Anon: As clearly stated in the purchase agreement, body parts are only delivered upon receipt of final payment... duh! :p
I actually pulled that on a brother I hadn't seen in twenty years. Fifteen years afterward he still doesn't talk to me but my mom still thinks it's funny. Considering she's the only person in my family I talk to I suppose that works in my favor.
On the off chance that anyone reading this is curious-- yes, my brother is a frikkin' boob.
@dwerenat: Virtual high-five.
"Eventually, the penny dropped, and the mechanism emitted a faint creaking sound..."
Aaaaand I caught up. Dammit. T_T Holy crap I hate Kellen. I hate her so much. Even if you don't accept someone, you don't just go and do that!! Does she not remember that whole spiel Aiken gave her about LGBT suicide and does she not remember that she promised to talk with Rain? HOLY CRAP I HATE KELLEN!! I hate her with a passion right now! If anyone were to cut my hair like that and called me a weirdo freak or whatever and that I was just doing it because I'm bored with how I look, I'd have sucker punched them at least 5 times. A day. Every day that I see them. I'd disown them as family and NEVER speak to them again. I'd NEVER EVER stick around them ever again. I'd never speak with them, I don't care how much they tried to apologize. At least Aiken was just trying to make an effort, even around when he first found out. At least he didn't PHYSICALLY do anything to her. But Kellen is making Rain feel bad both physically, emotionally, mentally, etc. I'm sorry, but I CAN'T EVER like Kellen after this. I know I'm going to hate every page that involves her from here on out.
I don't mean to insult your comic, though. It's fantastic and I can't wait to read more. But if Kellen doesn't get her shit together within the next few pages, I will never, ever take her seriously as anything but a drama maker from here on out. Kellen is despicable. I had hopes for her, I really did. But I guess that just couldn't work out. To be honest, I was hoping it'd go in the path of "The sister's ok with it, but we run into the dad again." or "The sister's ok with it, but Rain gets outed and has to deal with the backlash of hate of the general public." I think, IMHO, that that's the route it should have gone. But, meh, what does my opinion matter? It's your comic and you likely have it planned out already. :)
