So, the previous chapter ended with one of the hardest pages in the story to date. And this latest chapter has been particularly and continually sad and angsty, with groundwork being laid out for future struggles. Closing this chapter, I really wanted to leave off on a high note. While Emily's feelings STILL aren't actually stated (there are lots of ways to interpret a hug like that), hopefully I've achieved said high note. ^_^
But the really interesting thing about these pages might be even more obvious. For the first time EVER (save for chapter cover pages), I present to you an update with no dialogue (in a comic that you all probably know well at this point for having copious word bubbles). And it's a two-pager, no less! Fun fact: I wrote dialogue for this scene. It was more of the same though, with Emily basically just encouraging Rain yet again. But it added nothing and felt redundant, so I decided to get a little experimental. Again, hopefully I did okay.
I can't explain why, but somehow it's cuter to me without dialogue anyway.
No hiatus, by the way. There'll almost definitely be one after the next chapter, but for now, I want to keep up the momentum. So, I'll see you next time, Rain Beaus! ^_^

This page is perfect! You didn't do ok - you did great! I believe there is no need to put words into the scene - everything is really beautifully expressed without them. And it was so cute! ;)
@Snowwater: Indeed. The actions here speak volumes.
No words have been officially spoken along the lines of "I love you", but at this point, I don't think either of them has to say it for them to both know it's true.
*continues making Rain-i-ly! chanting motions without speaking*
@fenny: Me too! Just for clarification - Yelling it over a megaphone isnt really speaking, right?
Love it! Can't wait for the next chapter! It'll be the first one that I didn't read while catching up and reading this comic for the first time!
@Emma: Yes, I believe squeee ^_^ is the right expression here.
Yes, I do believe that "Squee" is the best way to articulate my feelings.
@Guest: Yes, I positively believe that in this situation, Squee is the correct word.
@Emma: I wholeheartedly concur!
Darn it Rain, she just came back to hug you! That is the perfect moment to tell her your feelings! It is even the perfect mood! DX
But I know that feel of being so happy by simple things like that to the point I forgot what I was thinking before. Rain is probably going to beat herself up for missing the chance twice in a row...
@Rain Dreamer: She might not have verbally expressed her feelings, but that girl knows how to convey a LOT with her non-verbal communication skills, her affection among it. The words would be nice to be spoken out loud, but the beautiful thing is, they don't need to be; both Rain and Emily already know.

Yes, yes it is.
Sooo cute!!! <3
Oh god I want them to be together but its so complicated, this ship is gunna sail... straight off a cliff... :s
Hi! Just a quick word, here... I wanted to say that this comic has probably saved my life. It's given me something to escape to and relate to when I get into really dark moods, something to look forward to when I'm in a good mood, and something to remind me that I'm not the only one who's going through the transgender experience. It's beautiful and sweet and, though there are large amounts of dialogue due to the nature of the story, it has never felt speech-heavy or unrealistic. I'd imagine you're proud of how far this comic has come and what you have made it into, and you have every reason to be.
With much gratitude,
@ThatOneGuyKai: your profile pic is amazing. Also your comment was really inspirational :)
Thank you so much for sharing. That really means a lot to me. I'm so happy what I do affects you in such a positive way. :)
look, the exact moment when i ship them <3
Personally I love writing dialog-free comic pages
took me about 2 - 3 days but I'm caught up now.
So, i had to get my hair shaved off, and i think i look a little more feminine with a shaved hair than with long hair.
