Even though Emily is heading over to Maria, Chanel, Rudy, and Gavin (presumably, to talk to them about Rain), the focus remains on Drew and Debbie of all people.

Debbie struggles to understand why her best friend is hanging out with the less popular crowd lately. Especially Emily's recent tight friendship with Rain, considering she had a particular hate-on for when she was still in "Perfect Year" mode.

On the other hand, we have Drew, whom Rain basically came out to in order to help him understand his own orientation (although, he is still struggling with himself). This leads to him questioning what Rain later meant by "girls' day out" at the con, where Rain was pretty adamant about shooing them away to be alone with Emily. One can only imagine what must be going through his head.

I wonder if he's gonna be like "she cut her hair because she's a lesbian? yeh that's totally it."

@Nesagsar:

There's really no difference between the two, other than where they grow and that the former is just a stringier version of the latter.

@Grenartia: I'm just saying that there are very important reasons for certain people to trim their nails a bit shorter than others.

@Grenartia: No, there's a big difference. Hair is aesthetic, but lesbians pretty much *cannot* go without short fingernails, for a reason. While I'm trans and pre-op, I still understand why long fingernails moving around a lot inside of a soft-tissue part of someone's body would not be fun.

@k_dragon: I was going for, you need short nails to play guitar. But hey lesbians too. (note, I'm being facetious. But the thing about guitar is also true. Consider that a bonus reference.)

Trust me, I'm well aware of those reasons. The joke I was going for didn't pan out as well as I'd hoped, unfortunately.

@LittleLynn84: I was introduced to Rain on 9/25/2015 by a friend who told me that I needed to read it because it would do me a lot of good.

They were never more right. I have cried more in the last 3 days than I ever thought I could from a webcomic. The things you put in this are exactly, word for word, what I have needed to tell people. The thing that made me cry the most, though, was the hair. I spent several minutes crying to myself before I was able to calm down. That really hit deep in me.

I just wanted to say thank you. I don't have much talent with drawing and I don't have time to write, but this simple little webcomic is exactly what I needed to see. I don't know you, but I love you and I love what you have done here. Please keep it going. <3

I just finished powering through rain for the third time, and felt the need to comment on how much I love it! It was well worth the minimal sleep I'll be getting as a result.
