I just kinda wanted to draw my girl again. Or, at least in her short-haired look; I'm a little out of practice. I had to draw Rain a bunch for Chapter C, but the whole thing takes place before her haircut, so I had to get used to drawing her like that again. And now, I have to get used to drawing her like this again.
Originally, I was just going to make a quick doodle of Rain getting ready for her upcoming hang out with Emily, Maria, and Chanel in the next chapter. You know, just combing her hair or putting on her boots. But then this little scene popped into my head and made me laugh. Bunnies will do that. XD
No, this doesn't mean the hiatus is over (but we are getting there). Although it does have proper page dimensions and chronologically follows where we left off and leads into the next chapter quite well. So I guess it's like a canon Rain Delay? Or something? I dunno. It's just a silly strip to help me practice Rain's current look again.
Either way, I thought it was cute and amusing. Hopefully you do too. Have a lovely day, Rain Beaus! ^_^
And don't forget, Rain - Volume 3 came out yesterday! If you're interested, you can purchase it (and the previous two volumes) right here!
Just a friendly reminder that page updates will (finally) be starting back up this week. Originally it was planned to return on Christmas for the Friday post buuuuuut... nah. We'll be back in business just a touch sooner with a new page for Wednesday. Huzzah! :D
I know it's been a long time, but there's not going to be a recap or anything. If you can't quite recall what was happening, I might recommend rereading the last chapter or two to refresh your memory. Otherwise, I look forward to posting again, and I hope you look forward to reading again. ^_^
Yay! Kinda new Rain!
My mom was given an Oswald the lucky rabbit plush for an early christmas present and we have 2 chihuahuas, so this comic speaks to me right now! ^^;
@LittleLynn84: I am really starting to like her short hair. She is very cute that way. I always loved having long hair. Bunnies are so cute but can be trouble. I always wanted one as a pet. :P
I think your FAQ needs some updating:
"I don't like reading comics on my computer. Is there any chance of Rain being made into graphic novel?
Ideally, yes. I would want nothing more. But it wouldn't be any time soon. First I'd need to accumulate enough pages put into it."
Is this a drizzle?
@Dwerenat: Each page is a drizzle, and together they make Rain ^_^
@Maplestrip: I thought Rain makes Puddle LOL :P
@Anna Rei: Of course not, Silly. Puddle makes puddles.
@Dwerenat: Or maybe Rain is just short for Rainbow. :P
Um, Jocelyne? I was reading the cast page and it's a teeny bit outdated...Emily is apparently straight, Rain's sexuality is unknown, stuff like that. Y'know, if you want to do something small as an update.
The cast page also says:
All information is intended to be as spoiler-free as possible. If something seems inaccurate, it is because the description is based on the earliest information available. ^_^
That aside, it's still not necessarily accurate in a lot of other ways, so I'm working on a bit of an overhaul for both the cast page and the FAQ. So those will both be coming soonish.
THANK GOD!!!!! I MISSED THESE UPDATES SO BADLY!!!! THANK THE MAKER THAT I DON'T HAVE TO WAIT!!! <3
@TallMist: Same here I so miss the updates to. :P
@Anna Rei: This is the first hiatus I've had to sit through given I didn't know about Rain until after the last one. I've been checking in almost every day, praying that I'd see a new page and, by this point, I'm glad if it's even something like a rain delay or something... Just watch, though. This Wednesday, the update will be the cover page and we'll still have to wait for Christmas for an actual story page, I bet you.
@TallMist: Same here I just started reading not long ago. I was getting tired of the old boy gets turned into a girl and how bad they got it story lines we mostly seem to see like Misfile. Though love Chris updates it very regularly. I been reading Misfile since 2004. I am Transgender my self and have gone thru many of the same things.
@Anna Rei: I know what you mean. Hell, some comics take it way too far. There was one that I read where 1 page was something happy and then the next 50 was dark and depressing. I won't say what comic it was out of the very, VERY little respect I have for the person for being so pretentious about it as well, but it was good at first, got old really fast. I like a lighter version of it. This is a more realistic version of a trans person's every day life. It's not all doom and gloom like people try to make it out to be. Or, for the majority of us, it isn't. At the very least, most of us manage to find some sort of non-self-harming out for the depression that does seem to have a long term effect.
I really hope the first page of this comic when it leaves hiatus stage and goes back to regular posting, it's not the chapter cover. We've already seen it, I mean. There's no real point to posting it again in my eyes. But I have a very bad feeling this will be the case.
@TallMist: I do like Rain is more realistic. One of the best I have seen so far. It covers more then just one kind of transgender as well. Even know I know a lot. I learned some things I did not know. I love to learn new things. I love how being Transgender pushes me to always learn new things and see things in ways I could not other wise. :P
