Originally, this was going to be one page. No mention of college, nor Rain referring back to the dream chapter were in the original script. It just kinda grew as I went along making this one. ^_^
As there is a lot of information on these pages, there's a lot to discuss. But most of my attempts to write a blurb were threatening to be spoilery. I'll hear you folks out instead so I don't accidentally drop something.
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.
Er-hem. I hope this doesn't detract from story-related comments, but as you may or may not have heard, I've got an appointment for SRS consultation scheduled for the end of the month. Maybe - just maybe - something good will be in my future. This also means your help was never more welcome if you're willing and/or able. Buying books, or shirts, or scarves/wristbands, or just plain donations are all very helpful right now. Obviously, if you are unable to or don't want to offer anything, that's totally fine. There are other ways you can help. Like voting for Rain on TopWebComics or joining/sharing the Facebook page can help spread the word about my work. Thanks for anything you can do; no hard feelings if you can't. ^_^
How come no one's commented yet?
For some reason I enjoy seeing the characters talk about fictional anime. It sort of makes the Rain universe broader.
I wonder how good the local university options are. It would be nice if the group could still hang out together while some of them are going to college.
As for studying while raising a child, I haven't done it myself but I've met people who have. It's quite a challenge, but it can be done if she has someone to help her.
Wait, whats Rain's plan for college?
That, I can't answer yet. We'll just have to wait and see. ^_^
I never knew they were seniors O_o
Rain, Maria, Gavin, and Emily (as well as most of the supporting cast) are seniors.
Ana's a junior.
Rudy's a sophomore (and so is Kylie, albeit in a different school.
Chanel is a freshman. Hence why she's concerned about being left behind when everyone else goes to college.
I hope that clears things up. ^_^
@LittleLynn84: I thought Maria and Rudy were twins O_o
I know it doesn't help in today's strip, but pay attention to their collars when they are in their school uniforms. As the auther pointed out in a previous strip, blue collars are seniors, green are juniors, orange are sophomores, and red collars are freshmen.
@LittleLynn84: I am a big fan girl myself of Japanese Manga and Anime. And I really loved reading this strip. Got boxes of my Strawberry Pocky next to me LOL. It is funny how I love a people foods and culture we almost had to nearly totally destroy my Grandfathers fought against in WWII. All that and we got Anime and Manga for not doing so. My Grandfather walk around in the cities that were atom bombed. He said it was the most terrible thing ever done in war he had seen. :P
Got my Rain volume 3 today!
Minor nitpick: A lot of the pages appear to have ended up really close to the spine in order to fit. It's not a deal-breaker, they're still readable, but it sometimes makes me feel like I'm going to break the book to see that one word on the edge of the word balloon. If the paper used were half a centimetre wider...
That aside, I'm happy with it :D Chapter C was a good read too.
College being mentioned in canon? Wow, that took a while :p Also, Kaminari actually getting released. Showing some real progress in this page ^_^
"Simulcast" is a word I had never heard of before, and I've never seen it being done for anime. I usually stream my anime illegally, through fandubs. Then again, the only free streaming service available in Europe is Crunchyroll, and getting anime on dvd is not the easiest thing in the world. How do you watch your anime, Jocelyn?
@Maplestrip: Crunchyroll, while originally a fan-site, has gone official and now offers simultaneous streaming of new episodes with English subtitles.
@Microrapter: I meant to say that Cruchyroll is the only legal free streaming site in Europe, yes. There are plenty of illegal ones available here as well, of which I also make use.
Never heard of the simultaneous streaming, though. That's pretty cool, I guess :p
@Maplestrip: Yeah, it's something they started offering a year or two ago. Don't make much use of it myself, since I prefer streaming through Netflix or just buying the discs- no commercials that way.
@Microrapter: You're a very good person ^_^
I have to say, the ads on Crunchyroll are awful, and I frequently got in the situation where they literally crashed my browser. I ended up in the situation where I use adblock on Crunchyroll. I suppose it's probably still better than streaming it illegally.
I would buy anime on dvd, but it's not easy to find here, and compared to other media, it is incredibly expensive...
Eight-year-old Ethan Wilwert wanted one special thing for Christmas - not a puppy, nor, thankfully, a hoverboard. Ethan wanted an in-person makeup tutorial at the MAC Cosmetics store in his family's local Florida mall.
"A couple of months before Christmas, he and I were at the mall, and we went into the MAC store," Ethan's mom, Season Wilwert, told The Daily Beast. "He's always been interested in makeup. It's something he likes to do creative-wise. It's something he gets excited about. He watches a lot of online tutorials."
In fact, Wilwert laughed that Ethan is already helping her do her own. "He does a much better job than I do on myself. Many times I have to borrow his stash of makeup. He helps me out."

Congratulations and good luck on the upcoming procedures.
I just realized today that Emily reminds me a lot of Mami from Madoka Magica, both and looks and personality. Is this a coincidence, or was she inspired by Mami in any way?
Oh my God... Rain and the gang are gonna be out of high school... They almost all seem to be in their last year. Please tell me this isn't the end of Rain if they do T_T
P.S. Again, it's quite obvious you're just teasing us at this point! Pretty much everyone knows you're going to put Emily and Rain in a relationship, every reader wants you to do it. XD C'mon, what's the point in waiting now? Lol
Woohoo for SRS! Best of luck with your big news! :)
I remember waiting around for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood to be simulcast. I believe it was one of the first anime to be handled like that, and it was awesome for it. :)
Congratulations on SRS, Jocelyn! I bought all three books (and are currently sharing them with a friend, maybe I can get him to help out) and I plan on buying a shirt! I hope that helps!
