Cute page with a positive tone where there's much to discuss. I needed a page like this right about now. ^_^

So just like that, it's officially canon. Rainily or Emirain or Perfect Storm or whatever you call it, is a thing. Buuuuut what does this really mean? How does this affect their lives from here? Both in public, and in private? And what of their decision to keep it completely to themselves for the time being? Should this make things easier for them, or could it just serve to complicate things for them later? Your thoughts are most welcome as always.

I'm really happy that they are together, but this keeping a secret often does more harm than good. I hope they are able to stay happy with is.

Also, this totally reminds me of Keeping You A Secret by Julie Anne Peters. Good book :)

@Snow Lilly: The "doing more harm than good" thing generally happens when the couple can't agree on whether to keep it secret. So long as Rain and Emily stay in agreement, they should be fine. The key is communication: if one of them changes her mind, the other has to listen.

@Yan Mouson: That's true, but what makes it worse in this situation is that they're going to need support. A LOT of support. No way in hell are they going to get through all this alone, ESPECIALLY with a child.

Not telling them just sounds like a bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, BAD idea.

repeat after me:
never keep secrets from friends
NEVER KEEP SECRETS FROM FRIENDS
unless you can handle something blowing up later and the possibility of at least one friend leaving
plus keeping a relationship a secret usually just feels wrong and awkward
; ; I just want them to be happy and open idk

They are very cute, but I am very worried. I wonder who will figure it out first. Well, Fara, quite probably, but after that.

Oh! Also, I forgot to mention this and it really needs to be said...

Maria and Chanel know about you both BEFORE it was a thing. Do you really think you can BS your way out of them know what's up? Really?! :P

Lastly, @LittleLynn84, shouldn't Emily and Chanel be upgraded to Main Cast? ;)

Hmm. I suspect that Chanel & Maria will figure out what's up the minute these two walk into school together. Oh, and maybe Fara when they walk out of Rain's room.

I hate to say it but... I think it's a bad idea.

To be clear: I like these characters. They're adorable. In ideal circumstances, they're probably a good fit for each other.

But for all those reasons Emily mentioned earlier, everything is stacked against them. Hell, the best thing they have going FOR them is probably their friends, who they're NOT going to tell. It all just says 'doom' to me.

I think love is generally awesome. Hell, I write my own sappy romance stories. But, I'm also somewhat pragmatic, and I DON'T believe love conquers all. It can make you feel like it will, but feelings fade. Then you're left with the work, and they have a lot more than most people have to deal with, and being so young just makes it worse.

Maybe they really believe they can overcome these problems, but so did everyone else who tried, and failed.

Of course, this is fiction, and could go any way the author imagines. I hope it they can be happy, despite the inevitable drama.

But if they were real people, in the real world, I would tell them not to do it. It sucks, it's not fair, it hurts... but it's for the best.

These girls don't watch enough romcoms and screwball comedies.

As soon as you decide to keep something with potentially embarrassing consequences secret, the universe itself begins conspiring against you to out the secret.

@LittleLynn84: I did to thanks I am very happy. I finally set down and watch the rest of Avatar The Legend of Korra the the day and was happy Korrasami were cannon like I wanted form the start of them meeting. Now we got Rainemi. Kind of like it's Raining love in the room. I was so unhappy they did not show Korrasami kissing at the end and just stand looking at each other. But here we got to see the kiss here at least. I am so over joyed. :P
