At last, we see the return of long absent character, Ana. Aside from a few brief cameos, her last real scene was about seven chapters ago. But of note, she had a single page appearance in the last chapter where she awoke from surgery. What surgery though? Why? Is this her "embarrassing injury"? Well, we don't know yet.
Maybe we'll know for sure soon, though. And maybe there's some hints right here. ^_^
Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.
As you may probably know by now, I'm saving up for my (hopefully) upcoming SRS date in a few months. If you're able, you can help me out. Buying books, or shirts, or just plain donations are all very helpful right now. Our Etsy shop is back open too, for bracelets and wristbands. Obviously, if you are unable to or don't want to offer anything monetary, that's totally fine and I completely understand. There are other ways you can help. Like voting for Rain on TopWebComics or joining/sharing the Facebook page (or even just telling your friends!) can help spread the word about my work. Thanks for anything you can do; no hard feelings if you can't. ^_^
What kind of surgery could that have possibly been!
Oh God, we're now all talking about Rain on the Discord and this comment section is becoming completely quiet :(
@Maplestrip: It was SRS. That's what the donut is for. You can't sit down until you recover.
@k_dragon: I think Maplestrip was being sarcastic?
@Maplestrip: the discord? i wanna join in on this yo
Hmm...she clearly had some sort of butt surgery. A buttectomy? No, too obvious. If only I had been a proctologist like my family wanted, I could speculate better.
-- We know she's trans (birth name Aaron.)
-- Just turned 18, and thus eligible (by most guidelines) for SRS.
-- Just before the trip, Dad says "soon you will live the way you were meant to."
-- This is a webcomic about a trans girl who desperately wants medical transition.
Yeah, butt surgery is the obvious answer.
@Asche: I don't remember that bit - when did we find out her birth-name was Aaron?
The donut is a dead give away!! Some girls I know have that for a month after surgery.
I was wondering if you could put the collar colors into the FAQ. With the help of Google, I found them on the post with the title page for Chapt. 27, but wouldn't it belong in the FAQ?
(I was trying to figure out what year Ana was in. Yeah, I know she says it somewhere in the distant past, like 1000 pages ago.)
I think she is intersex though o:
Im so glad to have her back, hope she will be just fine
Amazing page as always <3
@Hachikou: That is was what I was thinking. I am Intersex. I got boy parts down there but since puberty my body and mind tries to become female in the secondary gender characteristics. in I grow breasts and have hips like a girl. I been stuck in between male and female all my life. MTF usually do not like I seem lucky I can take HRT and grow breasts very good. My body do not make much of any male ones I have to be on HRT either way but the female HRT seems to be the best for me. I been on female HRT and blockers for a little over a year. I would loved there to be an Intersex character. It is hard to find anything web comic that does anything on IS people like myself. There is a very good manga on it that is very hard to find called IS.
@Anna Rei: I agree, that manga is very very good :p
I am not intersexed but really enjoyed the manga (and learnt a bit about intersexed too)
@Asuyuia: Cool I am always happy to hear that. I feel so alone all the time cause there are not many like me. I finally meat one like me a few years back and I both hated it and loved in at the same time. Cause I knew how hard it was and the idea I was not longer the one only special me after so long. It was so crazy how much we both were alike. I write about myself in my Napalm Luck blog thread in the Misfile comic part of the form: I even had my own fan club. I bought a few people over here form Misfile to. Link is below to my thread. Anyone is welcome to post about themself to. :P
Yeah, I'm also guessing SRS.
Good to see her back! Rain really needs to find out, somehow, that Ana just had SRS (if that's what it is). Maybe Ana will figure out/find out that Rain is transgender and open up to her. Rain could use a trans friend, I think - especially one who had just had surgery.
Even if we hadn't known about Ana's background beforehand, the flotation ring she's holding gave it away before she even mentioned it.
I bet Rain has guessed as well. Maybe Emily will too. Considering the studying she did on all things LGBT, she's probably reading up on the technical details now that she's gotten closer with Rain.
@Kimiko_0: Rain may not have researched it in great detail but I'd be willing to bet Emily would know if context linked it. As is there's quite a few reasons you'd need a doughnut, SRS wouldn't be my first guess.
Emily would (maybe will in the comic) probably figure it out in time.
@Anon-ish: And it wouldn't be completely improbable for Rain to start learning more about SRS now. I could see not making the connection if it was knowledge she already had, but didn't remember, but if she's learning about it now and someone mentions flotation rings, Rain will certainly jump to the conclusion. And then immediately back off and assume it's impossible, because of course she would. :D
I'm just glad that Ana is back. She's adorable and hasn't done a single thing that doesn't make her seem like a great person.
@Guest: That is a very good way of putting it
Ohh.. She's not lucky... She's just drawn that way...
I found a place to read the IS manga about a intersex child. I cried very much well reading it the first time as it had so many things I went thru that were at times very bad. How I am still alive after them I do not know. :P
Added found the Live action videos to. Use to be very hard to find.
The ring is needed to recover from SRS because you can't sit down until sensitivity and swelling of the vagina and surrounding area starts to go away. Even though I probably won't be able to have mine for a frustratingly long time, I know the process and have researched extensively in preparation.
@k_dragon: I knew that I was just not saying anything as I did not want to say it first. And makes since to. :P
I had an UTI once. Had to use a donut-shaped pillow in a completely different way, and for a completely different reason than Allision buuut... no, nevermind. I don't know where I was going with this. The donut just reminded me.
Come on, it's so obvious, the only surprise is a plot twist where it WASN'T SRS lel
one of my partners got SRS recently, and she has to sit in an inflatable donut because it'd be too much pressure when that area's healing.
