Potentially heavy page, but I'm not really sure what to say about this one other than that it's frustratingly real. It's amazing what people don't think you can hear sometimes.

Awwww!!!! Poor Chanel </3
Just reminder. Rain has wikia community at http://rain-web-comic.wikia.com/
Poor Channel :C
I feel really sorry for Chanel, she shouldn't need to deal with that.
Since the main cast all is pretty much having the same difficulties with the school's prom, aside from maybe gavin. They should just get together some place, all dressed up and have their own Prom.
In the future if anyone ever asks about prom, they could say they went to "A Prom" and had a good time. So a Prom, to me, in essence can be described as "A big dance where you dress up with friends, have fun and get memorable pictures." That's it, which the mains could do somewhere else without judgement or so much worry.
I am sure this has all been said by others before, but I wanted to give my own input too.
@otakuchris: this idea was suggested at rain's new years party! ky suggested it and it was a good idea, but the others still wanted to go to their own prom.
also, the only ones in their group who can't get into prom on their own volition are ana (who's going with gavin), ky (who will probably go with drew), rudy, and chanel; the rest are all seniors who can go on their own.
i do agree that they should rethink the whole "own prom" idea, though, especially if rudy and chanel cant get into this one.
I'm AFAB and in high school and stuff like this happens on a weekly basis. It's not too hard to deal with when it's people saying it to your face because you can pass it off as a joke, but when people talk about you like that and don't know that you're listening it's so terrifying.
I will continue with my opinion that proms are for people that like the status quo. Channel should listen to her part of her brain that is responsible for her emotions (I am not going to say heart) and go on a date with Maria, and maybe join a big party for all the cool people that aren't afraid to be themselves. Everyone is invited, except Chase.
@TranshumanAr: Sounds like more fun than the prom.
Not that I would actually know. I skipped my prom.
@Microrapter: I assume there was a prom my senior year, but I didn't pay enough attention to even be certain of that.
@Microrapter: Believe me, you didn't miss much.
@(V);,;)V): Yeah, I'm mildly autistic and therefore terrible at mingling, so whenever I go to a party I usually end up standing there wondering why I actually came to this large group of people I don't know.
Speaking as a white male heterosexual geezer ... some boys' backsides want kicking.
And i don't mean just these two in the comic.
My experience with prom was brief. My boyfriend and I finished our dinner an hour ahead of schedule, went to the movies, arrived to the dance two hours late, walked inside, immediately realized that we both hate dances, walked back out, and watched Your Grammar Sucks in the car for a few hours... We're real party animals.
