TL;DR, my 2017 Goals are:

- Pierce ears
- Get a tattoo
- Finish Volume 4
- Finish Volume 5 (if we get there)
- Finish Rain script as a whole
- Begin second comic (perhaps a Nuzlocke?)

I love this idea! As long as you don't ignore Rain, and give her a good storyline and ending, I'll be happy with another comic, ESPECIALLY a pokemon one! Spare our hearts with the deaths though! I especially get attached to my cutiepies....

Good goals! :3

About a tattoo: it's good to think long and hard about this! Make sure you find a good artist as well. It's good to find someone who's talent you like and you should contact them in advance so you can plan things out. Uhm, it might get a bit expensive, though ^_^;

I'd love to be able to see you do another webcomic, though I'm a bit worried about it delaying Rain updates. I mean, it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, and you shouldn't worry about that too much (especially at first), but I do need my fix of Ky every once in a while! But yeah, Nuzlockes are cool :3

I'm pretty happy to see you confirm that you make Rain "for a living", as I've always been unsure of this. It's nice to see :3 I'm quite curious what your biggest sources of income are when it comes to the webcomic?

I would 100% read a nuzlocke comic by you, especially with all the queer-ing and trans-ing of Pokemon characters! I have some headcanons of my own for characters that are trans or nonbinary, and definitely with Sun and Moon there's a lot of room for making characters not straight :P

Regardless of what you decide to do, I've been reading your comic for 2-3 years now and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon, and any new comic of yours would make me ecstatic :)

Make sure your tattoo artiste can spell.

And watch out for something like this i ran across online:

"You know it's a bad day when you find out the Chinese characters you had tattooed on your back don't spell Invincible Dragon like you thought, they translate to 'hair clog drain' instead."

@Fairportfan: So true! Even the Queen's English can confuse some people; I work with a girl that has a very large, very fancy "Siege the Day" tattoo on her upper back... I just don't know the social protocol to ask about that...

I, personally, am not a huge fan of tattoos, but I'm admittedly a conservative old fuddy-duddy. It's just that tastes change, especially in regards to art, and today's good idea is next decade's regret.

Earrings are more fun, in my opinion... you can be whimsical one day, subtle the next, elegant the day after, and the hole will (usually) heal if you decide against.

I would like to read the second comic, Jocelyn. My goals for 2017 are making more art projects, get a job related to my career, and contribute to transhumanism.

I spent a looooong time agonizing over the idea of a tattoo. I finally decided to get leaves blowing in the wind a couple months after my orchie and then my mom's sudden passing. Seemed to fit my mindset, you know? Anyway, $200 and about as much pain as a laser treatment (except underboob, that hurt like a MFer), I had my first lifelong body art image and I was in LOVE with the experience. Got my second this year (pink/blue butterfly with a semicolon body on my wrist, a reminder that change is better than ending) and again, I LOVE it. So, yeah, I recommend it, based on my own experience.

I think a Nuzlocke run comic by you would be fantastic! I've been following about 3 of them for a while now - unfortunately 2 of them have been on mega-hiatusii (one for over a year, the other 2 years). But, yeah, I'd be a fan of yours! (Er, well, I'm already a fan of yours ... I'd be a fan of the new comic.) With how great "Rain" has been, you'd do a fantastic Nuzlocke comic!

As for a tattoo; I'll toss out an idea that's been bouncing around in my head for a while. A Pikachu holding a rainbow flag over her head. Think of her in a triumphant stance, holding the flagpole in her raised fist, the pole would be angled so the flag was flying out over her head.

All For It

Heya, Lynn! just wanna put in my support for you to make up a new comic. I'm always jazzed to hear when new Rain comics are coming out, and another Little Lynn series would just make my week that much better!

Nuzlocke support

I love Nuzlockes!! It would be so much fun to see characters get the "Lynn treatment" lol And I completely agree that it would stretch you artistically. All those critters, towns, characters, and battle stances - fun stuff!
Have a great day~
