I've been trying to write this blurb for hours now. But everything I want to say just reiterates what the page says. Chase is a scumbag. Emily's mom is somehow debatably worse. And Emily herself - to understate the glaringly obvious - has had it really rough.

There's still more. But we're almost through this. Thank you for sticking with me on this one so far.

I'm glad to see that Emily has at least recognized that her relationships with Chase and her mom are toxic. Also good to see she's finally made it to the point where she's all "IDGAF" on these two horrific actors in her life. Here's hoping neither happen to make it back into her life again…

As long as Chase doesn't go into creepy stalker mode, keeping him away should be reasonably easy. The real question is how to keep Emily's mom away from her.

@LittleLynn84:

The old saying ... 'life sucks and then you die' ... fortunately isn't always true.

Coming to a realization of who you, and those around you, really are is a good first step and having someone you love and who loves you to share that with can make all the difference.

Why dose it seem that most of the adults (with a few exceptions) are jerks or ass-holes?

Good adults

reply

@00Stevo: Hey there are good adults in this story! We've seen Fara, Jessica, Vincent, Gavin's dad, Gavin's dad's boyfriend, Ana's dad, Gavin's mom seemed cool if oblivious, Aiken is redeeming himself kind of, I can't remember much about Chanel's parents but I think they were okay ... I'm sure there are some other minor ones I'm missing. Does Puddle count? ;)

The story is mostly about the teens, so most of the adults are background characters (except Fara and for a while Jessica). We only get to know them when they helping their kids with big problems (like Ana's dad) or causing the problems themselves (like Maria's parents and Emily's mom).

I really did feel horrible about Rain being with Emily Because I was afraid Emily would just use Rain. but now that I actually got to know her and stuff she seems amazing. I just care about her now. I for some reason have this feeling that Chase is going to change a lot and become a good person. Lol ik that’s never going to happen.

I would normally be a jerk that silver lights things with something like "at least Emily didn't became like a character from Bojack Horseman", but then I remember this stuff happens and it's quite painful to look at. Emily is lucky to have Rain and the other main characters to help her heal. I really wish she has a happy ending, but realistically there can only be a bittersweet ending after many struggles and epiphanies that hurt a lot.
EDIT: Also, a mother that treats her child like garbage isn't a real mother at all.
