Originally, this and the next few scenes were planned to take place at the school's lunch period, with reasons arbitrarily forced in to get certain characters talking to each other. Then I remembered I have a perfectly good gym setup I never use. So we'll be seeing this setting for a little while. Hope you don't mind the little change of pace.

Admittedly not much to say here yet, but we can expect a bit more Drew next week too. And for those of who don't remember, Drew and Ky did indeed have a bit of a falling out in the last chapter. If you want to reread that scene and refresh your memory, I recommend starting here and going forward the next four or five pages.

Drew must come to terms with his bisexuality and the fact that people don't fit into boxes if he wants to fix the bridge he broke down. He isn't a villain like Chase and Todd, so he has something to hope for. No romance yet, but at least healthy relationships.

Rob must have thought Kylie was "The Canadian Girlfriend." Evidently, he's been inoculated against such things…

Is Kylie a revenant? A ghoul? A vampire? A lich? A wraith? Is she going to possess Rain to help her command orcs?

Goodness, Drew, how hard is it to understand? Ky is gender fluid.

@Guest: I think it's more that he isn't sure if the significant other part was a guy or a girl. Was he attracted to Ky because of him or because of her, or was he just attracted to Ky regardless of presentation?
This may be a prime opportunity for Drew to come to grips with being bi or even pan, which is why he is so distressed. Many people who are raised in a conservative environment (even if they see themselves as liberal and try to be such) have issues with accepting things outside of a strict binary (such as hetero/homo or cis/binary trans). Him realizing that not only is there a person that doesn't fit that binary (which he may intellectually understand but is incapable of acting in a way that accepts it) and then realizing that he does not either would understandably wrack his brain for days until it gets sorted out.

Um.. the answer to the question "Was she a girl?", would be "yes". The answer to the question "Was he a boy?", would again be "yes". Because it would depend on the day how Kylie/Ky would answer that themself. Again, Drew, does not really understand the whole genderfluid thing, but I hope he does not out them. I hope, at least, he learned THAT lesson.

I agree with Bandana_Girl that Drew may not really accept that he may be bi/pansexual. And that, upbringing can confuse how we see ourself and others. I just hope that Drew can eventually use this experience to grow as a person.

Drew's reaction is my internal voice whenever someone asks me about my gender.

Not everyone takes being bi in stride. There are many reasons why so many bis stay in the closet, but so-called conventional wisdom might suggest being bisexual isn't actually possible. Bisexuals (much like NB folks) are often misunderstood and aren't even always welcome in LGBT spaces. Those misunderstandings and sources of shame often shove people back into the closet.
