Ky's second panel dialogue is referring to this, in case anyone's forgotten:

Other than that, I wanna hear what you think. (And let's be civil and respectful to each other, please.)

I honestly kind of forgot that they broke up...
I'm interpreting Drew's words as that he possibly still has feelings for Ky, even if he doesn't directly say it. That gives me a little hope that they could get back together. :)

First, let me say it shows just how powerful Ky is in themselves to be able to stick to their guns about this. We came as friends, if this isn't something you can be around I'd be sad but you have to make that choice. Not once offering to compromise themself. Ky has been such a strong self-assured character through this and is really inspiring. Everyone has doubts sometimes and everyone has dysphoric moments, but Ky really handles them with so much grace.

Second, while Drew is being a Big Jerk (TM) everyone comes.around to these things at their own pace. I'm Ky is giving him a chance to A) make is over-all life happier by choosing not to care about what the world thinks, and B) make amends and maybe resolve a friendship or something more between the two of them. I really hope he takes the wake-up-call and makes the decision that'll make him happy in the long run. I suspect he won't, because he has shown before that he's a little dense and doesn't make the "right" decisions in the moment. He makes them later, after introspection and getting advice from people (like Gavin). Hopefully, having already talked to Gavin during the great formalwear-switcheroo will give him enough puzzle pieces to put him on the right path this time.

Which is all a big long way to say you do a really good job of making emotionally deep, complex, consistent and realistic characters. While I can't predict what's going to happen, I have never been confused about why in the world someone did something so marvelously out of character. I love this story so much! Thank you for writing it for us.

I was honestly expecting Drew to become the Hulk, so I’m glad it turned out this way

I like Ky even more now, originally I was hoping Gavin & Rudy (Ruby) would pin Drew to the wall & give him hell to just let it go but this is a better way & it shows that Drew does have some feelings for them maybe he’ll eventually be part of the group & patch things up with (Ky)lie. Dating maybe fifty/fifty or never but who knows.
I honestly love this story
& I’m grateful I found it & even more grateful you wrote it.

(When I get Internet next month I’ll sign up & go full depth on what I mean.)

I’m so disappointed in Drew. He’s been told time and time and time and time again and he just refuses to listen. I don’t think it’s maliciously intended but it might as well be sealioning, he will Never Learn. I think Ky oughta write him outta their life for good and be done with the whole sordid relationship.

@Amara Rezby: Sealioning?

And yeah, Drew's not a mean guy, but he's wrapped up in his own insecurities right now. And he's not yet mature enough to look at himself and figure out what those issues are and how to deal with them.

@Amara Rezby: Yeah, I agree, not a bad person, just bad at listening. I'm honestly disappointed in Drew, but congrats for Ky, they're so strong and reasonable and confident! I love their character!

@LittleLynn84:

The ball, as they say, is in Drew's court. He can grow up or not. I dated this very nice girl once who was taller than me by a good bit. The night I met her, it didn't bother me at all but a couple of friends mentioned it. I couldn't let go of what my friends and others might say and ruined a relationship that could have been a very good one. I still regret it some 50 years later.

Don't be the dufus I was Drew!

Someone from the RainCloud (screw it, I'm gonna keep using the term until the author tells me to stop) needs to help Drew figure himself and his sexuality out. Because, let's face it, he really can't do this on his own, and he shouldn't have to. I figure Rain could help, since she was open about her own sexuality with him, so I think they could accomplish something in that vein. I mean, if Drew would've had more time I feel he could've gotten the hang of properly gendering Ky. As is, I hope that they can stay somewhat friendly; I was rooting for them all along, and it kind of sucks now.

I like Drew and I have hope he’ll pull through. He was raised and grew up thinking that all this kind of stuff is wrong, so I wouldn’t expect him to just instantly be okay with it all. I do think he’s a caring person overall though, and will come to terms with accepting and supporting Ky

Well now Ky is unrealistically mature and composed, but whatever. It would only figure that my 2D crush would only make themselves more desirable.
